The proprietor is a knuckle-dragging loser who discriminates against people with service animals! My wife and daughter were coming to Ti for a family reunion (a family that has lived in Ti for over 100 years!), and we placed a courtesy call to the motel to let them know that my daughter's service dog would also be with them. Obviously, anyone with a brain knows that service animals must be accommodated under the Americans with Disabilities Act, but this proprietor is clearly unfamiliar with the law of the land. He went on to tell us that we were "arrogant" because we informed him of the law! He also had the nerve to say that he was a 6 year Marine, and couldn't fathom even offering a room to veteran with PTSD who needed a service animal. He proceeded to curse repeatedly, and of course he canceled the reservation. Stay away from this place...clearly they don't want the business of any people that...
Read moreRetracted my original review to add: we will never stay here again due to customer service. I originally had a great experience but when we left a mirror came down from their wall, didn’t break, when my husband went to put it back up we noticed it fell because the dry wall inserts had worn down the wall and it looked like they had been pulled out of the wall multiple times . When we left nobody was in the office for me to inform but I figured it wasn’t a big deal as it looked like a recurring issue for them and they would just put it back up.(just drill a new hole for the inserts like it looked like they had multiple times before) NOPE we got charged another $85 for them to supposedly have someone come out and patch the wall etc. absolutely ridiculous. Should also make mention of the ants that were all over the bathroom and room from the...
Read moreI spent a week at the Stonehouse this past October. Aside from having a very reasonable room rate, and great housekeeping, the Stonehouse couldn't be better for those wanting to see the incredible foliage of the Adirondacks, visit Ft. Ticonderoga and other local historic sites. Located between Lake George and Champlain, the location makes a convenient base camp. The bridge to Vermont is about 35 mins. away (my driving). The Owner/Manager/..... was very professional and eager to help with any issue/question that I had. I stayed in the turnkey apartment (#5)?? and loved it!. Very clean and with all you need for a comfortable stay i.e. microwave, full size fridge, stove, two tv's, plates glass utensils and more. Totally satisfied with my stay at the Stonehouse. I would recommend the location to family...
