Maddens Pub — Restaurant in Town of Ticonderoga

Stopped in after visiting Fort Ticonderoga on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago on our anniversary trip through NY, VT and NH. So happy we did! Wendy was at the bar and felt like an old friend! She was so happy, fun, friendly - and knew everyone who came in. A couple of young kids came in and it was one's birthday - Wendy remembered they were there three years ago! Jeff came in and we had a blast talking with him and he and Wendy knew so many of the same people. A couple of other folks came in and everyone was chatting and watching football. It was better than Cheers! As we were heading to Vermont, Wendy gave us the names of a few relatives who own stores in Woodstock and we met Kit at one and some other folks at the others! Oh - the steak and cheese was amazing! Fries were great. Beer was cold. The pub was just the best - love it! Thank you, Wendy!!...

We stopped in for lunch, it felt more like a bar than a restaurant—but we’re so glad we did. Wendy, the fill-in bartender that day, was fantastic—gracious, warm, friendly, and clearly beloved by the regulars. She made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

The food was classic bar grub but done really well. We’re wing connoisseurs, and theirs were some of the best we’ve had—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The burger hit the spot, and the fries were piping hot, crispy, and seasoned just right.

No, it’s not fine dining, but if you’re looking for a laid-back spot with good food, great vibes, and standout service, this unassuming place really delivers.

Horrible since new owners took over. We have been in there 1 or 2x in the last 5 years or so, & we hated it. Tonight we decided to give it 1 last try, and that's it, 3 strikes. This time we waited 45 mins for 3 tacos (that we had to stand at the bar where it says "order here") (the person in the kitchen YELLS out ur name) SO TACKY!!! We finally had to cancel our order, and left. The 2 bartenders were HORRIBLE!!! Spacey, airheads ... NEVER GO IN...
