Lots of other reviews on here say this place is bad. I didn't find that to be true. Yes, it does seem like they are under a remodel of some sort so the hallway carpets are stained but it's definitely not from pee or throw up as someone else said. It's your standard construction stains from paint spills and the like. I'm sure they will put in a new carpet as soon as they're done repainting and putting baseboards in.
The service for me was very friendly. However I did witness another guest who had a room on the first floor that said it was very dirty and smelly. He was in there for 20 min and couldn't stand it. The lady at the front desk (not the one that helped me - her name was Reba and was very friendly) started out saying she could not refund him fully but after a minute or two it seemed like she was going to try to help him more. I don't know what the outcome of that was. I'll reiterate that my experience was very pleasant.
The room I had was surprisingly nice. I got lucky with the handicapped room (room # 231 - I'm not handicapped) so I don't know if all the rooms are this nice or just this one. Looked and smelled like it was brand new. The floors are the nice fake wood flooring that is popular right now. The room was very clean and did not smell at all. Except for the "new" scent. Part of the reason I only gave this hotel 3 starts is that in my room (again, not sure if this is the same for every room) there is a motion activated light that turns on opposite from the bed above the sink counter. So Everytime I shifted in bed this light would turn on. It's not an overhead light...more just like a bright night light but it was still annoying and woke me up everytime it turned on. I took off a star for this.
I took off another star for the breakfast hours. I was staying interact for work on a construction site so I have to leave the hotel at 6am. Their breakfast doesn't start until 6:30. Part of the reason I booked this hotel was because it included a complimentary breakfast, but I definitely should ha e noted the hours they serve said breakfast. 6:30-9:30am. This is kind of annoying because I noted a lot of other people staying at this hotel appeared to be construction workers as well and probably have similar start times as I do. I know 530 is very early but if the hotel has staff there anyway why can't they put some muffins or yogurt or something out for the early risers? Something to take into consideration. So, I cannot comment on the quality of the breakfast because I never experienced it. 32
I did a couple workouts in the "gym", and I have to say it's very minimal. It was fine for me and the workout I was doing but it's a little creepy in there and there are zero amenities. It is basically a normal guest hotel room with a treadmill, an elliptical, and a bike and that is all. No towels, no water. The TV was off when I was in there but I'm sure I could have asked the front desk to turn it on. I also had to ask the front desk for a towel. Which is fine because it doesn't seem like the gym is used that often so I get not wanting to waste towels by putting them in there. It's just annoying when the front desk is busy so you have to wait in line for a towel. I noted that it's creepy because it's in an out-of-the-way room with only one window to the parking lot. As a woman, if there a was guy in there that made me feel uncomfortable I would likely leave because there's no way for anyone to see into the room unless someone is in the parking lot and happens to look into the smallish window. That being said, I was the only one in there when I was working out so could play my music loud and had a nice solo workout.
The location is great. A 10 min walk from a couple of food choices (In-n-Out, Nation's Burgers, Starbucks, McDonalds, etc.) And a 5 min drive from even more food choices off the Naglee/ Grant Line Road exit from 205. I highly recommend Mazaa Kabob House off Grant Line.
All in all, I was pleased with this hotel for the price. Especially good (probably) if you get the...

We were not acknowledged at all when we first approached the front desk by any of three employees. That included a manager, who was wearing flip flops, a graphic t-shirt and distressed jeans, at the time I had zero clue that was the manager. There was an employee waiting for they're ride in lobby and loudly talking on a cell phone. No professionalism at all. Then two of the three employees left and the employee who stayed didn't know how to check someone in, so we waited about 15-20 mins while she was on and off the phone trying to figure it out.
Our first room had a filthy bathroom and poorly built furnishings. The bath mat was literally brown it was so disgustingly dirty and almost soaking wet. Yet it had been folded and placed decoratively over the tub wall, the hand towels and wash cloths were damp and dirty and the bath towels were covered with hair, some even had stains and dirt on them. All the dirty and wet towels were folded and placed back as if they were cleaned decoratively. I had to go downstairs to get new clean towels. At the time I didn't mention the state of the bath because we were not going to be hanging out in the room and we were leaving early in the morning. Then the nightstand, which was bolted to the wall, fell off and hit my husbands foot. He had enough after that and went downstairs to talk to the manager, who ended up giving us a different room.
So our second room was cleaner. But only two light switches worked, the rest were missing the bottom half of the switch. The bathroom light wouldn't turn off and the only trash can was in the bathroom. Then.... A RANDOM STRANGER ATTEMPTED TO ENTER OUR ROOM. Yes, someone unlocked the door, opened it, closed it and left. My husband bolted the door, very shortly after there was a knock. An employee asked my husband if we had entered an occupied room. He said no, he had just spoke to the manager and she relocated us to that room. She apologized and then we got the joy of being able to hear the other guest berate the employee about how this room was just given to him. I honestly felt bad for her. The only reason we stayed was because I was joining my husband on a business trip and it was too short of notice to find somewhere else. I would warn anyone looking to stay in Tracy to avoid this...
Read moreDuring a 4 night stay was greeted...or not by a wait at the counter for an apethetic individual. For the duration of our stay the wait for check in staff was quite regular. Checking in was average with most questions answered as monosyllabic as possible. The room (double queen ) had stained sheets a missing door stop, filthy and very old pillows with cases that not only had make up stains but long hair that was most definitely not ours. After another wait at the desk for another room it was worse. The bedding looked horrible like what you see with a black light, who knows what stuck to them and lots of hair all over the "clean" bed. The bathroom smelled and again hair and mold in the tub. One more trip down stairs to keep the other room and ask for sheets to make our own beds. I don't have a problem with that at all and with some help from the housekeeper done. The bathroom shower was so moldy including the shower head. Definitely a first-time seeing that. It's worth noting that only half the room lights worked and the tv although plenty large was impossibly bright and no way to turn down the contrast. Satellite worked fine with plenty of channels. In the way of security I have to say the elevator was a first for me. I've never seen a room key locked elevator as well as the lobby locked after 11 pm. I have to say with all the work going on (I stayed last year still working on rooms and the hallways) the staircase looks the best as no one uses them. No scrapes on the walls from ill fitting housekeeping carts or worn doors on the floor we were on. You wouldn't have known work had been done at all. The topper to the intensely mediocre stay was when we were leaving while waiting for the elevator, two of the housekeeping staff and to large bins for washing made a stop on our floor. My son and I passed since the only space was between the large bins and that was slim to none. We took the stairs...again the best the hotel has to offer and while passing the same ladies with their now stowed laundry were heard to loudly remark "dos cochinas" and then gasp since we were the pigs in their remarks. Yes we are indeed fluffy but next time make sure your guests don't speak Spanish too! Yeah...great stay that will not be repeated. Spend the extra money and stay anywhere else than this skeevy...
