During our cross-country journey from Las Vegas to D.C., we made a memorable stop at Bryce Canyon. For our overnight stay, we opted for lodging at Bryce Valley Lodging, where we found ourselves in a charming little cabin. The cabin provided all the essentials one would expect, such as towels and a coffee maker. However, it's important to note that unlike hotels, it did not offer amenities like shampoo, conditioner, or body wash, so it's advisable to bring your own. Additionally, there was no coffee or tea provided in the room; only the coffee maker was available, so it's a good idea to pack your preferred brew. One minor hiccup we encountered was with the AC unit, which had trouble staying on due to an issue with the outlet. Fortunately, the pleasant coolness of the evening allowed us to leave the window open, providing a comfortable solution. Regrettably, we did notice a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, the shower was quite small, and secondly, it was disheartening to find visible mold on the shower wall. Unfortunately, it was too late to request cleaning supplies when we checked in. However, despite these minor inconveniences, I would still recommend staying at Bryce Valley Lodging. It offers affordability, convenience, safety, and is conveniently situated just outside the park entrance. This makes it an ideal choice for our purpose – a few hours of rest, exploration of the canyon, and hitting the road again.

The cabin was cute with a nice deck out front that had 2 metal chairs and a metal table. You park right next to your cabin, which is nice. The bed was okay. The problem I had with the bed was that it really is high, and for someone who is short, it is really difficult to climb up to get in bed. The mattress seemed to do in the center so that you rolled to the middle during the night. There is only one chair inside, so someone has to sit on the metal chair from outside or climb up on the bed to sit. The heater was really loud and kept going on and off all night long. If you wanted to watch TV, you had to turn off the heater, or you couldn't hear the shows without turning the volume up really loud. The bathroom was nice, and the heater worked great. We didn't eat at the continental breakfast as the options were minimal, so we just went down the street to the Stage Stop Station. The cabin does have a mini frig and a microwave. The location is great for Bryce Canyon NP, Kodachrome Basin SP, and Grand Staircase-Escalante NM. For the price, it was fine.

Lovely spot to stay! Easy to find, It's super close to Bryce Canyon, and there's food and a gas station across the street. Staff was friendly, super easy checking in and checking out The cabins were cute, lots of room to park next to, and each one has a small front porch you can sit out on and think about what awesomeness you'll be seeing. Inside was cozy, kept very clean and included a TV, Fridge, microwave, shower, sink, and some fun decor. The space was very functional, but there wasn't a lot of floor space, so I wouldn't recommend planning on having someone sleep in a sleeping bag. Also there are a ton of drawers both by the beds and under the TV to stash your things! Wifi wasn't fast, but it was steady. Only negative note would be that the heater can get loud especially during the night, (stayed during winter) so if your a light sleeper consider bringing another blanket 😉 We stayed a couple nights and had a great time, and if you stay here I highly recommended seeing the view of tropic from inspiration point.

My husband and I are tolerant of lack of amenities, but cleanliness is a must, and this lodging fell very short in that regard. Our cabin was very dirty and poorly maintained, so we only stayed one night out of the three that we had booked. There is so much potential for this property, and the location is great, but management needs to pay attention to their critical reviews and make things right. First off, the entry door was in poor condition, as well as there was a hole in the deck, the railing would have just needed a good push to completely fall over and the bench seat was totally rickety. Inside it appeared cute, but did not smell good and then we started to notice the filthy floors, built up crud around the sink taps (which need replacement very badly...the water sprayed everywhere), built up hard water residue on the shower head and terrible mildew in the shower and on the curtain (don't most properties change out cloth shower curtains with each guest?). The worst part was the webbing and spiders. We had to "get rid of" several spiders and there was webbing everywhere, including down the entire bathroom door jamb. The screen on the bathroom window was broken, as well as no screen on the front window, so we were not able to open the windows to get some fresh air inside. The bed we slept in had a mattress that had likely never been replaced and the smoke detector was falling off the wall. We found a new place to stay in Tropic for the other two nights, and when returning the key and stating how poor the room was, the person at the desk had no response and in fact did not even make eye contact...

Checked room first before checking in as when we pulled up there was no one around in the main building yet the door was unlocked and it was obvious someone had been working in the laundry area. These units look like lego buildings plunked down on a gravelled lot. All in rows. Cobwebs in the corners, drapes hanging ascue and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. Full of dust. Not on the right side of "rustic" for us. Called phone # on reservation confirmation and after being told mail box full and then tried again put through to I think it answered America's Value Inns?? then I pressed "O" and got a live person who said she had the key and was across the street at the Red Ledges Inn. Explained needed to see room first, good thing as didn't pass. Asked her if she had "king" at the hotel and she said yes so we took it. It wasn't much better. Door didn't fit in frame and an inch of light shone through each side. Bathroom ceiling had been patched with 2 sections of plywood covered in stippling in screwed into the ceiling. Bathroom floor had not been wiped down in some time with dirt and dust in the corners. We find that in the US we need at least a 4 rating but with high prices at Bryce I looked to "near by". This was rated 3.5!! I wouldn't...
