For some reason if they think you are homeless they treat you like you have leprosy. Everybody has to blame someone personal responsibility is a thing of the past. I had a $50 deposit posted and never received it back from a previous visit to Tucson. The desk clerk said it was unrefundable and it was my responsibility to request it back. This is an unfortunate growing trend for any discount 3rd party apps and upon arrival and check in this deposit is thrust upon a weary traveler counting on discounted rates. Book, pay and then told you have $50 to $100 deposit not left pending for immediate payment back to card. Quality inn, booked through priceline took 3 nights lodging and then wanted a $100 deposit. I asked when I would recieve my money back she informed me 7 to 10 business days. Unacceptable. She was as a growing trend I'm finding rude surely and generally not pleasant. This only happens in 3rd party apps and or franchise hotels motel. I informed priceline of my anger because no where did it mention this deposit and they informed me they who had my money they would return my money in 7 to 10 business days. I raised hell and they did return my money for the room 3 night stay because I would not pay the deposit and give them money to invest. 3rd party apps are treated poorly wherever I have tried to use them. The rooms are usually available but the management stupidly seems upset because they do not recieve their money for sometime, how long I do not know! It is growing trend also with most franchise chain stores. I now book through corporate online apps and there is never a deposit and the employees are of the mindset of the customer is alway right and pleasantries, politeness and a smile are the norm. 3rd party apps have so many restrictions and hidden potential problems that a few dollars saved inot worth the trouble. Any way I made the desk clerk call the owner and she immediately authorized a room for my troubles. For this I thank this Motel 6. The rooms are well used and abused and most guests are generally dirty and leave rooms untidy and damaged so i can understand some insurance but holding a deposit makes it difficult for a budget restricted business owner to make enough of a profit while...
Read moreFirst off I do not have real high standards when looking for a night stop hotel, clean,no bugs and a working shower. That said this room somehow looked clean but didn't feel clean, the floor felt sticky and after a hour walking on it my socks turned black.The sheets were clean but the mattress was horrible (see pics). The sheetrock over the door was missing and painted over and the shower was a little chipped. 1 small bar of soap was provided but I bring my own bath stuff anyway . No fridge or microwave. The area was a tad sketchy. The price was a little high but it was truly pet friendly and I wasn't charged extra for my dog.. So I had to change my review to 1 star, because they stole my deposit! I had a doctor's appt. So I checked. Out so I wouldn't be late and went back for it at 230 they refused to refund it because I didn't go for it at 11 check out I saw the manager open my envelope and put my money in the cash drawer when I called her out she said it was that nights deposit even tho I saw my room number and name on the envelope! She said I could call corporate if I didn't like it. I did call corporate and the service rep was also appalled she called the hotel who admitted I checked out on time and did no damages to the room but they were keeping it! She said they are investigating and I should hear back within 72 hours, I'll keep you posted. So 5 days after they stole my deposit per corporate they had 5 days to calle to resolve the issue I got the most unpleasant call I have ever received From the manager. I can only describe it as bullying. Saying among other things that I could face legal action for saying they stole my money. The very definition of theif is taking/keeping something that does not belong to you So I called corporate and informed them of that phone call and asked not to be contacted by that place again. Read moreThe manager and staff are THIEVES! They don't provide receipts for any cash deposits for a reason. After booking, I received an email about the required $100.00 deposit due at check-in. Instead of waiting 7-10 days for a refund if a debit card was used I went ahead and did a cash deposit. No receipt was given for the cash, I asked why no receipt was provided, the response was, " we don't give receipts for the deposit" Naturally, I was concerned. The receptionist said I could take a picture of my key with the envelope where she placed my cash and use that as a receipt. She wrote my name on the envelope, I went ahead and added the check- in date, amount of cash deposit and also the name of the person taking my deposit on the front of the envelope which made me feel a little better about the situation.||||Sure enough, they found a reason/excuse to keep my $100.00. Keep in mind, this hotel is behind a marijuana dispensary, the entire front office smells like marijuana, staff/management said the reason to keep my cash deposit was due to my room smelling like marijuana. I mentioned I'd be more than happy to do a drug test so they see that #1, I don't smoke marijuana, and #2 that would clarify any doubt marijuana was being smoked in my room. Of course, they said that was not necessary and refused to continue speaking with me. They insisted someone was "smoking" in my non-smoking room and my deposit would be kept for that reason and also because I was rude. NONSENSE!||||The ONLY reason why I stayed in this hole was because my AC went out at home and it was an affordable option.||I needed to pay for a new AC unit.
