Our door lock had a malfunction after we checked in. After 2 trips to get new keys the engineer came to let us in. This took 45 min. He shared that it was broken but he’d be back to fix it (had jobs in front of ours). We went out for the evening. When we returned, I stopped at front desk to request new keys to save us a trip if they didn’t work. Was assured it was fixed. New key did not work. I went back down and had to tell towards the attendant several times because she had headphones on and was not paying attention. New engineer was called because other one had gone home (without fixing our door or telling anyone about it, no less). New guy came up with key fob. Didn’t work. Returned with battery pack. Didn’t work. Returned again with a rigged coat hanger type apparatus he intended to slide under the door, hook the handle, and open from the inside. This went on unsuccessfully for more than an hour. Finally, after 2 hours, they offered us another room (hotel was oversold BTW). We obliged and went to the other room with only the clothes we were wearing (all our stuff, including my medications, were in the other room behind the locked door). Room was hot and AC would not turn on. As we were ready for bed and seeking a phone charger we notice the other door open and propped (our stuff was there, unattended). We moved back to that room and planned to address it in the morning. Phone then rang telling us to open the door for the guy so he could fix it. He came in as we readied for bed, couldn’t fix it. As it was not 2:30am the dismissive front desk clerk advised they would comp our room.
Next morning took all our stuff to the car as door wasn’t fixed and couldn’t trust that we could get in for our second night. Met hotel manager. She begrudgingly apologized and confirmed they would comp our room.
Door lock was fixed when we returned. Saga was over. Until we checked out and night 1 was reduced 50% and night 2 full price. When I went to front desk, manager was disinterested and said she “hadn’t gotten to it yet”. Then gave me the bill with two nights at 50% rate. Too tired to argue I paid it.
Will not return. Issues such as the door lock happen. I get that. And the poor guy trying to open it was very kind. But how they responded to the situation was beyond disappointing. They failed. And they weren’t bothered by it.
Oh, and by the way, coffee maker didn’t work. Hot and cold water handles were reversed. The manager’s reception was a joke. It’s not an amenity. Rather, it’s their opportunity to slowly serve patrons so they don’t have to provide what they’ve offered (a free drink, and BTW I don’t drink).
No one cares about guests at that hotel. They are rude, dismissive, and make you feel bad for wanting a free drink that they advertise as an amenity. The entire door situation could have been prevented had the original engineer done what he said he would rather than go home without telling anyone it wasn’t fixed. Life is too short to waste time at a...
Read moreVery old and outdated. Clearly not being cleaned like it should. We stayed one night and one night was enough to not want to come back ever again. Not to this location. The entire room, every surface had a slimy/greasy film. The night stand, kitchen area counter tops, the coffee table. We had to avoid touching. The bathroom, tub specifically was utterly disgusting. There was hair, what I’m hoping was beard hair everywhere in the tub. We rinsed the tub out and washed it so my little ones could take a bath and upon plugging it the tub drain plug started releasing the nastiest grime I’ve ever seen. Looked like black mold. What’s sad is I’ve worked for Hilton for multiple years up until recently and none of the properties I’ve ever worked for have ever had a complaint like this. The hotel is definitely very old, outdated and dirty but not only that upon check-in none of the rooms were ready everyone(lobby full) was waiting in line stretched through the entire lobby, we waited over 45 mins in line until five or six to even get a room. I understand being short staffed and not having the means to get those rooms turned over but there was no accommodations for that wait. No offer to make the stay better. Also, please Avoid the middle elevator, We rode that one twice and after the second time of it making an extremely loud noise and shaking and vibrating violently we decided we would wait for the other two elevators if needed considering we were on the ninth floor with three young children there was no way we could do the stairs. The elevator is terrifying but only the middle the left and the right we’re completely fine. The two great thing was their breakfast I’ve never been to a hotel where the breakfast was as phenomenal as theirs. And the pool, that was definitely heated. Best indoor pool we’ve been too. I wish it had been a better stay this literally was just a one night stop to get us off the road for a little while so we could rest and recuperate for my littles. I used my points to make it cheaper on us. I really wish I would not have done that. I feel like I wasted those points when checking out we asked if they could extend it for 30 minutes we knew late checkouts were not feasible considering the previous day but we figured after everything that had already happened they would be willing to let us at least get an extra 30 minutes for the kids to swim and the answer was a hard no. I felt this hotel has no hospitality. This could easily be a five star review if housekeeping thoroughly cleaned and front office willing to extend some form of...
Read moreIt was interesting the majority of the staff were excellent. The hotel is under renovation. The first room we had the A/C wasn’t working, we told the front desk and left to have dinner. When we returned they told us that the A//C couldn’t be fixed promptly and offered us another room, within minutes of moving to the other room, we were told that the A/C in that room wasn’t working either so we were moved to a 3rd room. It was a nice updated very clean room, we unpacked and headed out to a show. Around 3:00 a.m we went to the bathroom and it was flooded. I called the front desk and let them know and they said that they would send maintenance up. We wanted to go to sleep so I requested another room and was told by the front desk attendant that it wasn’t possible as he was waiting on the system to update and hung up on me. I called back again requesting another room, again I was told no, he hung up. I called back a 3rd time, same scenario, then a very kind maintenance man showed up, as did the security guy. The security guy said that he was there because my multiple calls interrupted the desk clerk from doing his job of checking people in and out, and was there to let me know that it wouldn’t be tolerated. ( At 3:30 a.m when the system was down?) He informed me that I knew that the hotel was under renovation and that it was our choice to stay there since it “ said so right there on the website”.He accompanied my husband on the elevator as he went down to request another room in person. During this time the guy fixing the sink was able to find another room for us thankfully. As I was on the balcony of the 4th room the security guard yells to the desk clerk that I was “ filming him”, I was not. The night clerk and the security guard on the night of February 22nd were unbelievably rude!!!! The two ladies at the front desk that moved us to the first 3 rooms were incredibly kind and pleasant, we weren’t upset about moving, we understand that it was under renovation and we’re happy to have a working A/C finally. The maintenance went above and beyond what he should have. The bartender was super sweet and efficient the snacks for the reception hour were great. The breakfast was phenomenal. The next morning we spoke to Kai, I hope that I spelled that correctly, she understood our issues and made it right. She was very kind and understanding. Over all it was a very pleasant and clean experience. It is just those two night employees that were unbelievably awful. I’m thankful for all of the other...
