This was my second time staying at this location. I am a Hilton Honors member and when I joined, my friend who was with me at the time and I received complementary drinks and snacks. This time when another friend of mine and her daughter came with me, we didn't receive anything. There was a display case that showed some of the drinks and snacks you can choose from, were for gold and diamond members only. I did not know at the time when I signed up there were different levels of membership, if it had changed and an email was sent out, I may have missed it since I do not pay attention to all of my emails, but it was still a little disappointing. They had brought their dog with them and there is a $75 non refundable fee. I understand just in case, but I feel if there isn't any damage to the room, you should be able to get it back. Lastly the room we got this time was not the greatest, one of the outlets I couldn't even plug my phone into. The top outlet worked but the bottom felt like I was hitting the wall when I was trying to plug it in. The outlets above the night stand between the beds were horrible. I have to use a CPAP machine and it wasn't working right when I plugged it in. I couldn't plug it into a other one because it can't be on the floor and I didn't want to have my friend or her daughter trip over it if they had to use the bathroom during the night. When she went to use the other outlet to charge her phone, she had to wiggle the charger to get a decent connection. Other then that, we had a nice stay, breakfast was wonderful with again plenty to choose from. Read moreI’ve never been so excited to write a review as I am this one. My wedding was this past weekend. We chose the Hampton Inn Tunkhannock to host our wedding party and guests. I so happy that we did. I worked with Lisa from the beginning. Which means for months she put up with my millions of questions and frantic phone calls. No matter what the nature of the call she always put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. She is a true gem. We arrived at the hotel on Friday, check in was super easy and quick. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Any and all needs we had were met and exceeded. Monique was with us basically most of the weekend. She was always friends and so helpful. She even managed to calm me down the day of the wedding when I was freaking out. At one point one of my bridesmaids bouquets fell apart. We told her what happened and asked for some tape. She wouldn’t settle for that. Instead she got a needle and thread and began to SEW the bouquet. I am in absolute awe of the devotion of the employees here. They really want everyone to feel at ease and enjoy their stay. Quality customer service like this is truly hard to find. Read moreThe services I received at this hotel was some of the best hospitality I have ever received in 19 countries with out getting on airplane. From the moment I walked into the hotel I felt at home. The wonderful ladies behind the counter were warm welcoming and very informative. Even though the first vacation I have taken in years did not go as planned the kindness and generosity I received at this hotel reminds me that the word hospitality exists in an industry I have been in for 28 years. I give the hotel 5 stars I give the staff 5 stars but the general manager that hung up on my girlfriend and cursed me out after I left the hotel I give an f-. The word no and the disrecspect me and my girlfriend were shown was what I consider an unforgivable sin in the hospitality industry. I will continue to stay at this hotel for the rest of my life but only due to the kindness I was shown by everyone else but the GM.
