I'll get right to the point, and try to make this as short as possible, which is difficult given that the issues are lengthy! Free wifi, and a flat screen TV with cable are the only amenities that keep them afloat! Everything else was poor! We were placed there in order quarantine safely, but nothing about the place was welcoming, clean, accommodating or safe "health-wise." We had gotten in late at night, so we didn't initially realize how disgusting the place was until the light of day. The carpet had suspect white spots all over to which I sincerely hoped was simply dried up lotion😣. There were bits of food not fully cleaned from the fridge or the floor. The curtains were ripped and heavily stained. There was a random strand of hair left on the room phone, and the furniture had streaks/smudges or a noticeable layer of dust. It was clear that they were short on housekeeping staff b/c they put in the absolute bare minimum to clean. I called early that morning to express my concerns, and request cleaning services, but their only response was to question why I didn't put in a request sooner, and to tell me that I'd have to wait until the next day! I also saw signage that in an effort to go "green" they were only refreshing towels every 3 days! Not long after, I requested a new room altogether! There was a long and awkward silence followed with a curt response that there was no housekeeping that day, and that I'd have to wait til the next day, but that it wouldn't be promised! Again, no apologies provided or any modicum of effort to make things right. The kicker was the backed up toilet, and the disgusting plunger that I had to go downstairs to get, which was given to me in a paper thin trash bag with bits of toilet paper, and fecal matter still on it! I was further taken aback when it was returned, and they told me to place it on the checkout counter while they were on a smoke break!! If that wasn't enough, I had later noticed a small dark stain, which looked like dried up blood, on one of the pillows, which I only discovered in an effort to help housekeeping by putting all of the dirty linens together in one spot! I had enough, and we walked out that night! They seriously need to consider shutting down or cutting back on the number of rooms they offer until they have the appropriate amount of professional and friendly staff that can provide basic services that people expect from hotel/lodging services! With all due respect, do not consider this place for...
Read moreThis was my second time staying here. The rooms are ok. I can ignore cosmetic imperfections.
The place is not exactly disabled friendly. They don't have a button on the front door to open it if you can't, and there is no intercom to call someone either. Secondly, the room that I was in did have a walk-in shower, but there is no hose, just the shower head on the wall. Not exactly disabled-friendly either. Disability takes different forms, js
Third, the toilet paper roll holder is behind your right arm far back on the wall towards the corner, making it very difficult to reach while you are on the throne.
Lastly, I was here for 2 nights this time. I had no reason to think that housekeeping would come in after 1 night, because the sign at the front desk says that housekeeping will come into your room if you have a reservation for 3 nights, and when I stayed here last time, I stayed for 3 nights. I asked about it at the front desk. Then, the front desk clerk told me that they will at least collect the trash after 2 nights, which I could leave outside my door if I liked. I complied.
I came back to my room after an exhausting day, and found that someone had been in my room. I was so horrified.
I left things out that I would be embarrassed for anyone else to see,
I can't say enough that I felt so invaded and exposed, with my undergarment laying out and my suitcase open and unlocked, for starters.
It felt like they just came into my room to snoop. I never expected nor asked for them to come in and change out my stuff, and after a looong day at a wedding, I was in a lot of pain and just wanted to lie down. I was SO EMBARRASED and felt SO INVADED.
When I went to the front desk to say something to someone, I was told that the lady from housekeeping told the front desk clerk that she only changed the pillow cases. Why, after one night, with just me, do I need new linens and towels? Why make the bed after 1 night? She left 2 more bars of soap, for just me, after 1 night? It's very sus.
I have recommended the place to others, but now...No. I no longer like this...
Read moreThere were cigarette burns on the sheets, blankets, and curtains. The mattress was exposed so I could easily see the yellowing and brown stains. There were black bugs on the sheets, a very bad smell throughout the room that was ironically not from cigarettes, I would have actually preferred that over the strong odor that lurked in this room. The toilet was clogged and the fan in the bathroom did not work. The door that leads from our hallway to the parking lot was broken and not able to close properly without shaking the adjoining rooms, which is where I was located. I was happy to hear that some visitors actually took the time to close it although it woke me up every time. Whenever I would exit the building, the door was not closed securely. The parking lot had people partying so loudly that the only thing that would drown out their sound was the people inside partying even louder. The price was much higher than I would expect for a hotel in this condition. I would have gladly paid up to $20 for this room had I wanted to party like everyone else unfortunately I paid $135 and needed sleep. This was not the place for that and I will definitely not return to this location and most likely will never give a Rodeway Inn another chance. This was the only option for a lot of miles during the time we needed to be in the area and if I could do it all over again, I would have driven 100 miles to...
