Harmony Inn & Suites — Hotel in Valentine

This hotel was so lovely! The rooms were a tad outdated, the most unpleasant thing was the cold unflattering lighting. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was a little bit slower than what we're used to, but still good enough to relax with a TV show at the end of the night. Other than those minor things, we loved this place! The rooms had a cozy lodge feel, due to the beautiful wood ceilings, and quaint furniture and bed fittings. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful during our entire stay! Any issue we had, they were more than willing to accommodate us and help us come to a resolution. They also gave us recommendations on what to check out in the area.

We got the king bedroom with the Jacuzzi, and WOW, we are so glad we opted for that. We LOVED loved loved the fireplace in the room, it really added to the coziness to switch it on and hear it cracking. And the Jacuzzi in the bedroom was incredible, and was a welcome way to wind down after visiting the state parks. The hotel is also very central, right off the highway and in the center of Valentine so it only took minutes to get anywhere. We'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone staying...

We stayed here for 1 night while on a road trip to the USA. We rolled into Valentine and looked up the establishments on Tripadvisor. Of the hotels avilable this came out the best (though how and why leaves us mystified).|There were only 2 saving graces about the room - the bed linen was clean and there were hard floors so no manky carpet. The room smelled really dirty and how any establishment can leave a fridge in such a filthy, dirty rotten state is beyond comprehension. Even the ice bucket was filthy. We felt uncomfortable touching any surface but managed to use cleansing wipes to sanitize the surfaces we needed to touch. Didnt dare shower!|We both had a dreadful night's sleep so got up before dawn and checked out before 5am just to get away.|We really had very limited choice as to where to stay In Valentine. We had been driving for 7 hours and just needed to put our heads on a pillow for the night.|This experience is our own fault. We should have planned our day much better so that we could have stayed in a town with a decent, clean hotel. We have learned a valuable lesson from this and wont be so stupid...

The service at the front desk was our favorite part! Phenomenal!!

The building is well maintained on the outside and the property is pleasant but the bathroom could use some service. In our room. - #119 - the sink backed up quickly and easily and the shower head was so clogged up it was almost dysfunctional with little water pressure. The room was otherwise clean with a good layout.

Breakfast was surprising with yummy hot eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy as well as other breads and a waffle maker available but I would have loved a yogurt option or fresh cut fruit to go with my oatmeal for something a little lighter.

Parking was convenient and our room was quiet. I did put our “Do not disturb” sign out in the morning well before check out as we prepared to leave and were in the middle of getting ready but to no avail as the housekeeper came incessantly knocking just to see if she could clean. I’ll never understand the point of those signs and a check out time when we’re going to be bugged and feel pushed out.
