Terrible Experience. Horrible Customer Service. Would not recommend ever.
We experienced at least a dozen issues, and the staff and manager made us feel like they didn't even care.
We booked the Jacuuzi Suite for the weekend. We chose Best Western because they claim to be 100% smoke-free, and my wife has asthma. When we got to our room, it smelled like cigarette smoke. My wife called the front desk to let them know, while I turned on the tv. The tv wasnt working so they sent the concierge to our room. When he arrived to fix the tv my wife pointed out the cigarette smell. He immediately began to argue with her. He said it was not cigarettes but they did an ozone cleaning, and the smell would go away. We just needed to open a window for 20 minutes. My wife asked what would happen if the smell didnt go away. He argued again and said they do these ozone cleanings every day and that it would go away. He pushed a couple buttons on the remote and then said the tv was fixed before leaving. We opened the window and set a timer for 20 minutes. We tried to watch tv while we waited but the volume wouldn't turn up, and we could barely hear it. Then it randomly changed input settings and then wouldn't allow us to change it back. After 20 minutes we called again to let them know that the smell did not go away. My wife asked him if they could switch us to another Jacuuzi suite. The concierge told us that there was only one Jacuuzi suite in the hotel and the only options we had was to downgrade to a regular room or have them come up to the room with air freshener. We told him that we booked the Jacuuzi suite because we wanted the jacuuzi tub and asked him to send the air freshener. About 40 minutes later housekeeping arrived with a can of febreeze. We told her the tv wasnt working as well and she just turned it off and turned it back on. Then she took the febreeze and sprayed the air conditioner unit. She didnt spray the whole room she just sprayed the AC unit and then left. She also didn't leave the febreeze with us. We decided to take a bath in the jacuzzi tub, only to discover the drain plug wouldn't seal, and therefore, the tub wouldn't hold water. By then it was 8pm. We called the front desk again and asked them to send maintenance to fix it. They said someone would be up in 5-10 minutes. No one came up the entire night.
The next day we called the front and asked to speak to the manager about the issues we were having. Apparently it was the managers day off but they said she would call us later. At noon we received a call from the manager. Her name is Binal. We explained to her the issues we were having with the room including additional issues like the floor not being clean and no body wash in the bathroom. She apologized for everything and offered to move us to another Jacuuzi suite and only charge us the single room rate for our stay. We told her the concierge told us there was no other room and we had multiple issues with the concierge. She said maintenance would be up shortly to fix the issue with the tub and show us the other room. Three and a half hours later the maintenance man arrived. It took him less than 5 minutes to replace the drain plug and replace the body wash. He showed us the new room and when we went to the other room there was no smoke smell. The next day when we checked out we spoke to Binal. She apparently changed her mind and decided to only adjust the price for 1 day instead of both like she promised. She also refused to give us our member promotion stay 2 nights get one free because she claimed we didnt ask about it till after we checked in.

Read moreStayed here 3/8/25 on the way to Salt Lake area from Reno. We left Reno late and wanted to stay in Wendover for the night, because we had never really experienced Wendover. Driven through but never stopped. I did my research, and I wanted a nice room but didnt want to pay the $200+ the casinos were commanding for a room. This seemed like the best option. Turns out I picked correctly because we had a good stay.
The beds were really plush and new, and I made sure to pull the sheets on both of them to look for bedbugs, which there were no signs of. The one mattress had what looked like coffee spilled on the side of it (pretty sure it was coffee, close to the nightstand in between the beds) but no bed bug activity whatsoever. No poop, no bugs, a ok. They were super soft and we both got a good night's sleep. Much better then most places I've stayed.
The breakfast was OK, but I wasnt expecting much. Bacon, eggs, cereal, pastries etc. I smacked down some bacon, eggs, and coffee like a real man. We were here mainly to go off-roading at The Knolls and Delle and I got the fuel I needed from that.
To be honest yes, the junkyard and the trailer park kids out back didnt inspire confidence in the safety of our toys on our truck. But nothing happened and life went on. Nobody got broke into and nobody had to call the cops. So win win there. The kids were outside in their backyard playing with sparklers around 11pm on a Saturday, which I would call normal. I've done a lot worse on a Saturday night at that age.
It was a 1 minute drive from Montego Bay, so of course we went gambling, and had a nice surprise with the buffet there. The price was a little rough but it was a great buffet.
10/10 would recommend. Will be staying here the next time I need a room in Wendover. Might be never, but I know where...
Read moreOnline looked like one of the nicer places to rest and clean up in Wendover. WRONG! After long travels, we were set to find a good cool shower and air conditioning. My friend took her shower as I was doing work in the RV. I came up to find her asleep and a full tub of dirty water. I attempted to drain it to no avail. I contacted staff and let them know that this was not acceptable. There was a little bit of a argument and claim that we were part of the problem, but we had just gotten to the room so we had not done anything to cause this problem. Eventually somebody else was coming on staff and then the man I was talking with brought some tools up to the room and cleared the drain (while friend was sleeping). Keep in mind this was at 11 P.m. I do appreciate his willingness to come up because he was supposed to be off work. The person coming to take over his shift was rolling her eyes as he told her he was going to go and help us. Once he came up and used some tools to clear the drain, I finally got to take my shower! However I soon realized that he had used the last towel to keep himself dry and clean up the mess. My partner called down to the front desk asking if we could get some clean towels. The woman at the front desk said it was our fault the drain plugged up and that we had to come down and get the towels ourselves. I was just getting out of the shower and dripping wet. I put clothes on and walked down with my hair dripping wet and asked her for towels. I think she was surprised by my appearance and politeness...she apologized saying she thought we had overused towels not realizing her coworker used them to keep himself dry and clean up the mess from the plugged drain. Worst experience at a hotel getting my hard earned money as a nurse ever. Go somewhere else...
