This campground is quaint and cute. They allow tents and RVs. It was tucked away nicely and even though it’s right off a main road, you wouldn’t even know it. The campground is mere miles away from anything you could possibly need; food, clothes, hardware etc. There’s even a small outlet mall down the road. The grounds have wifi and the signal was strong enough for me to work online from my camper, to include Teams calls with no interruptions. There is a small park for little ones and 2 Little Libraries near the bathrooms. The bathrooms were clean every time I went in They have a few stalls and a shower in both male and female bathrooms and they also have 2 private showers. There is a mini golf course right across the street from the campground and downtown West Branch is right down the road. The lot sizes weren’t bad although, depending on where you were, you could end up on a slope if you aren’t careful. The trees made it a bit difficult to figure out the lay of your lot. There are water and electric hookups on each lot. The water placement for our lot was a bit far but we had enough hose. There is a dump station you can hit on your way out. We were greeted upon arrival and the hostess that evening was kind. They have a speed limit they enforce and the road is one way on the campground so you don’t have to worry about your little ones when they venture off to the park. I recommend this campground if you’re looking for a simple,...
Read moreOur daughter had a softball tournament in West Branch, with games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and with it being an hour and a half drive from Cadillac, my family as well as most of her teammates families decided to camp here instead of making that drive every day. It's located in a great spot as it's only about 3 minutes away from where we played. Check in was easy and the woman who helped with the check in(the owners daughter)was friendly and helpful, as was her dad who came in halfway through. We had no issues at all and it was a nice place to stay. I don't think they have any sites with sewer hook ups which isn't a deal breaker for me as they have a dump station you can use on your way out. One thing I didn't care for and I'm only stating in hopes that it'll prepare anyone reading this before getting there, is that instead of the water and electric hookups being at the back end of the site like most places, they are at the very front of the sites, so close to the road. Thankfully, I carry two fresh water hoses, one shorter one and one longer one, as well as I had made a 50 foot extension cord made of the same gauge wire as the campers wiring, so it wasn't a huge issue for us, however I recommend that you have a longer hose or extension for these sites. Overall, we were really pleased with our stay here and in fact have already booked the same site for another...
Read moreThis is a small family operated campground near I 75 and the downtown area of West Branch. We found our initial site assignment to be somewhat pitched, so the owner offered us our choice of several others. The spacious gravel lot we selected was surrounded by trees, level, and quite comfortable. The wi-fi worked very well during the day, and since we selected a site furthest from the office, the evening wi-fi was not as strong. The park was very quiet mid week, and we expected the usual weekend noise festival. We were surprised that although the park filled up on the weekend, there was not the usual traffic and hubbub of other parks we’ve visited. The sites are water and electric only, and the showers were...
