China Buffet and Sushi — Restaurant in West Branch

Kinda glad I didn’t bring my family to this place. I decided while I was waiting for pizza I wanted a little fried rice with my dinner tonight so I went in and asked how much they charged for it. The guy said “grab a takeout box, we weigh by the pound” ok no problem as I was thinking of maybe getting some other stuff. Very basic food and not many options! I know it’s Chinese food but at least make it look good and maybe have some more options . Well I got my fried rice like wanted. Maybe 3 scoops in the box. Everything was fine as I wasn’t going to get anything else and I walked up to the register to pay and the guy that was rolling silverware with glasses on rolled his eyes at me bc I was checking out. Now I know I may look different than the local West Branch community but to be disrespectful about it is pretty messed up. You thought I didn’t see you but I did. Anyways it’s cool because I don’t ever have to come back and I will make sure I tell every single person I know that talks about this place and make them aware about how you treat locals. DO NOT EAT HERE! so let me start off I grabbed a couple of pieces of sushi and I ate one and it was rotting fish the fish tasted like it has been sitting out for 4 plus hours and I didn’t even take a bite of my other food after that so I asked the girl at the cash register if I could get a refund for the order because I lost my appetite and didn’t eat anything she then proceeded to tell me all she can do is give me a 10% discount it took 10 minutes of arguing just to get a refund after her getting mad at me and she kept telling me the fish was fresh but you could even smell the fish and tell it was not fresh a single bit she was rude and not professional in any way but then when I told her to try a bite of the fish since it was so fresh she wouldn’t and just threw it out only because she knew I was right and just wanted to...

We love to try Asian buffets wherever we travel to. We were heading back to Southeast MI from up north and had to find a buffet so we gave it a try. Place looks relatively new. The dining area is very clean and the bathrooms are nice and clean. They were chopping up fresh green beans in the front. So nice to see they use fresh veggies. The buffet overall was tasty. They had a few gluten free options for my daughter but limited. Sushi was ok but nothing special and not as good as in a sushi restaurant or straight sushi buffet.
