Mr. Hodges is a liar and a crook!... I was having a difficult time finding the exact color and package traverse that my mother was looking for. I found out they had the exact car and we drove an hour to get it, and we ended bringing it home. The new car isn't the issue, it's how Mr. Hodges lied and screwed my mother out of her trade. Mr.Hodges evaluated my mom's trade himself, and even he had said he couldn't believe how clean and well kept her truck was. according to KBB trade in value was between $10k-$12k depending on condition, with retail of $15k. My mother just wanted $10k and he said he couldn't even sell it for that and good luck trying to get another to pay that. I told him what I found on kbb and he said you can't go with that they say because they give unrealistic numbers. We went back and forth and I told my mother it's her decision but we should walk because her truck is worth more then his low ball offer. well we drove an hour and she really wanted the new car so she reluctantly accepted it and purchased the vehicle. Then a few days later we look and they posted her truck for the $15,000 that kbb said it was worth with all the arguments I made why it was atleast worth the lowest trade in value.... Rust free, new tires, like new leather interior! Now I know as a dealer they need to make money, and I knew they'd be asking full retail with it. But my problem with them is the lies and acting like we where crazy for asking the lowest value on the truck, and that he couldn't even get what she...
Read moreVery disappointed in the sales department. After waiting 6 weeks to lease a loaner program truck, I received a phone call from Don- the salesman on the morning I was supposed to pick up the truck, stating that due to it being a new month, the numbers had changed and he wouldn't be able to lease the truck for the already agreed upon price of $319 per month. He said the payment would be over $500 a month, maybe as much as $600. When I reminded him this deal was in the works for 6 weeks and that I had just stopped in to the dealership 5 days prior to make sure everything was all set, he said he would have to talk with the owner and call me back. When I had stopped in 5 days earlier, Don even took a copy of my license and insurance, stating he would get the paperwork started. He also took my gm discount number. Don never called me back, so I went to the dealership at my appointment time (when I was supposed to pick up the truck). After waiting for him for 35 minutes, he came out to the sales floor surprised to see me and said the owner hadn't come in yet to let him send an email. This was at 2pm. I waited another 30 minutes, then left the dealership with no word from Don. It's now the next day and I've heard nothing from anyone at Hodges. This is not how you treat a customer that has bought 3 brand new vehicles from...
Read moreMy husband and I had a wonderful experience at Team Hodges in West Branch, MI. We worked with Don Weldon and the sales manager to purchase our Jeep Grand Cherokee, a used vehicle with low mileage and is still more or less a new car in our opinion, and had a great selling price. The transaction was seamless and fast, no financing was required though. They allowed us to test drive the vehicle with no restrictions or even tagging along with us, just handed us the keys and said have fun, please be back by closing time! Don was even sweet enough to snag the red bow off of the showroom Corvette and put it on the hood of the Jeep for us when we picked up the car, it made my day! He also took the time to walk us through all the features of the car and show us how to use everything. They were also able to do all the licensing right there, so we drove away with a new plate and stickers and the official title was mailed from Secretary of state a week later. It was fun, simple and completely enjoyable doing business with them. I...
