Paddle Ridge exceeded our expectations! We had a large group of 30+ colleagues on a company trip and all of us had an incredible experience here. Staff went out of their way for us - everyone from the front desk team to rafting guides to housekeeping - all were very accommodating. Natalie, who also coordinated our group rafting trip, went above and beyond answering a million questions and addressing our requests before our arrival. Dayna, who arranged catering for our company meeting was super attentive and went out of her way for us. Paddle Ridge is an amazing place to stay, with their spacious cabins and lodges, actually the closest lodging location next to the entrance to Glacier. It's less than a mile walk to West Glacier village where there is mini golf, ice cream and Freda's bar as well as a small market and gift shops. That said, the outfitter and fly shop onsite provide all that you need to be taken care of whether fishing, hiking, rafting or exploring. Having an onsite volleyball court, fly fishing lessons, large open grassy area and pavilion space was also a plus for those times in between our scheduled activities. For our rafting and hiking tours the shuttles picked us up at Paddle Ridge which was super convenient for such a large group. We were all impressed with the area, the service, the rooms, not to mention the breathtaking views from the property. A+ experience. We would love to come back again!

We visited Glacier National Park in mid-October (the last weekend before the season closed) and Paddle Ridge was one of the only lodging accommodations open and the closest to the west entrance of the park. It was about a 5 minute drive. Check-in and check-out was very easy and the employees were very accommodating if you were running late. They were also very helpful in giving us tips on what to do if you encounter a bear and also gave us a thorough demonstration on how to use bear spray which we really appreciated! The 1-bedroom cabin we stayed in was perfect for my husband and I and spacious enough for us to relax in after hiking every day. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The towels and linens were plentiful. I appreciated the facial tissues for my runny nose and kitchen napkins for our meals. We found the bed and pillows to be comfortable for a good night's sleep. The shower got super hot quick and the water pressure was great. The views of our cabin were beautiful and we also appreciated the BBQ grill and table outside to enjoy a meal. We didn't fish in the trout pond as we just didn't have enough time but it was nice to look at. Wifi worked great in the cabin and there is satellite TV. There is also a hair dryer and iron with a small ironing board which met all of our creature comforts. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Accommodating 14 guys was a daunting task but Jess, Hannah(?) and the rest of the reservation team completely exceeded our expectations! This was our first visit to Glacier so we had to relied on online searching, photos, and reviews to decide where to stay. Organizing a large group can be difficult but they made everything easy. Even when we had a booking mistake, they went above and beyond to make it right for us! If you're in the same position and you're searching for the right fit, you can stop looking. You won't be disappointed! The cabins were clean, comfortable, updated, and had everything we needed and more. One thing I would recommend is making sure you have groceries/snacks etc with you. If you're without transportation, there aren't many options within walking distance. The West Entrance to GNP is about a mile walk and there is dining and a limited market but the next nearest restaurant or supermarket is over 5-6 miles. These guys are the oldest outfitter in the area and they've truly found the secret recipe to making your trip a memorable one! Thanks GOC...Dem Boys will be back!

Buyer Beware. If you're planning a fishing trip with this company, be prepared to have a discussion with your guide about the practice of "crimping barbs." At the END of the trip, our guide informed us that after we caught our first fish, he SWAPPED OUT OUR FLIES for ones with crimped hooks. (That means the hook won't catch in the fish's mouth like it was designed to do. Fish can easily shake the hook out unless you keep constant tension on the line.) While the company may feel justified in doing this, we were never given a choice, and it wasn't disclosed until too late.

My wife and I aren't professional anglers. Like most people, we paid for a guided trip so we could catch fish. Instead, after the floors were switched, we each hooked several nice fish, but kept losing them. The guide never offered an explanation, so we assumed we were doing something wrong. If things had been explained to us, at least we would have had a decent chance of landing a fish. Instead, we feel duped.

I called today and spoke with Darwin Stoneman, one of the owners. He said that this is their company policy, and acknowledged that they were not communicating it to their customers. However, he never offered to refund any portion of the fee that we paid for what was essentially a wasted trip.

Again......
