Room was very clean and well stocked with towels, tp, coffee, etc.
However..... I was a traveling solo. Female. A friend and her husband were staying down the hall from me. At 7:30 PM on our 2nd night, a maintenance man walked into their room as she was in the shower!! No knock, no warning!! He simply had the wrong room. This kept me awake that night and caused me to feel uneasy the remainder of the stay. SAFETY ISSUE! Front desk said they had mistakenly marked the wrong room vacated and offered them a minimal (less than 10%) credit. The heating system is a wall mounted space heater. I turned it on and set it to 68 assuming it was a thermostat. Not so. Woke up a few hours later to an unbearably hot room!! I was nauseas and had a throbbing headache from the heat. Took hours to cool down enough to get back to sleep - only 2 hours sleep that night. Turned to fan only the next night. Cold, but tolerable. Be Aware: Unit pulls in outside air, which was incredibly dusty. The continental breakfast is not located in the hotel. It is in a restaurant across the parking lot. There is a dilapidated long-term stay hotel/apartment adjacent to the restaurant. I did not feel safe walking to breakfast in the dark by myself. Had this been disclosed, I would have been prepared with my own breakfast options. Instead, I went without. Maintenance. Toilet seat was so loose it wad not sitting straight on the toilet when i arrived. I was tired, so dealt with it but had to be very cautious when using. I tried to tighten the bolts myself, but the plastic nuts had wings that were too large for the space, so they could not be tightened. I had maintenance come the 2nd day, he attempted the same, left and returned with new hardware. This was a visibly obvious problem that was ignored until I complained. Maintence. Windows were filthy and 2nd interior storm window was loose. Maintenance. Bathroom doors had chunks of wood missing from the bottom of both sides of the door. Maintenance. Light fixture above the sofa is mounted very high with no wall switch - I am tall but had to stand on the sofa to turn light on & off. Maintenance. The smell from the elevator repairs was overwhelming in my room - soldering? Air purifiers or, at minimum, fans should be used to...
Read moreYikes, this was a rough stay. Super disappointing since the reviews on google were so good. This is, for sure, the dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in. Since we’re moving we’re really trying hard not to get sick so thankfully I had Clorox wipes with me and I spent the first hour cleaning the room. I practically re-mopped the floor which was a challenge since it clearly hadn’t been swept. I found multiple pieces of trash (floss, a beer cap, a chapstick wrapper and multiple shards of plastic packaging) dispersed throughout the room. There were multiple places with obvious dirt that came off with a quick scrub. The little kitchenette was the worst, when I opened the fridge it was just covered in hair, not just a strand or two but like A LOT of hair. And there was just random globs of whatever the previous people had eaten. The windowsill and surrounding area 😬, well I’ll just let you see for yourself. Thankfully we had our own bedding so I was able to throw everything into the closet and put on clean sheets. I’ve attached a few videos and photos so you can decide for yourself.
If you’ve made it this far, here’s a few pros. They allowed our cat! Always a plus for us since we pretty much take him everywhere! The rooms were silent! I couldn’t believe it especially since the place was packed and they had a conference happening! I can’t remember the last time I stayed somewhere this quiet, so super big bummer the room was so dirty. The price tag, definitely on the cheaper side, super thankful we only paid around $100. Laundry was cheap! $2.50 to wash $2.50 for 40 min dry 👍 The employees were super nice...
Read moreMy daughter used the restroom and when she flushed the toilet she was sprayed with water from the back of the toilet. I then walked in to check it out and check the back and was sprayed in the face and all over my clothes. When we called to inform the front desk they agreed to send maintenance. This took longer than expected and when he arrived he did not present in a friendly or apologetic manner. He did fix it quickly and brought extra towels and did not offer to clean or call for housekeeping but left it up to us to clean the mess. This was extremely frustrating as it was late in the evening and we had checked in after a 12 hour drive with two small children and two dogs and had not even ate dinner yet which we were on our way to do. I then had to stay up late washing my toilet watered clothes and when I finally was able to get to bed at midnight the room upstairs was noisy until early in the morning. I called the front desk and did not receive an answer until after a significant amount of time. When I informed them of the issue the response I got was "we are busy and will get to it when we can." The phone was also not working well and I had to hold it at the same time of using it to keep the cord in which was difficult while talking. When we checked out we took the keys to the front and was not asked how our I stay but instead was asked did you get your receipt? Then you are good to go. We had to pay a deposit for our dogs yet the hotel did not pay for the damage they caused on my clothing nor did they offer to clean...
