I am very disappointed in the treatment of the Parkview Motor Lodge front desk today 6.30.2022. They acted with RACIAL DISCRIMINATION TOWARD PUERTO RICAN PEOPLE. This info was sent to the front desk Park View Motor Lodge:
Jorge Cruz Sr, the main owner of the card, communicates. The card used is correct. My son Jorge Cruz is authorized in the bank account. We have that account in common. The name that appears on the credit card is JORGE L CRUZ (Jorge Leonardo Cruz). My son tells me that you did not accept his ID LISENCE of Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rico license is a "REAL ID" that allows us to travel anywhere in the UNITED STATES territory without having to use a passport. This decision made by you can be interpreted as RACIAL DISCRIMINATION. I want to explain to you that PUERTO RICO BELONGED TO THE UNITED STATES FOR 200 YEARS. PUERTO RICO IS 100% AMERICAN CITIZENS. Puerto Rico is American territory outside the United States such as Hawaii, Guam, Alaska. We are blessed to be American citizens by birth.
I rented from you for Oct 2021 for a week and the reality that your assistance was excellent. I have no complaints. My son did not know how to explain that detail of the card and he is authorized by the bank to use this card. Please proceed with the transaction as coordinated. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks.
FRONT DESK WROTE: SIR, I DIDN'T TELL YOUR SON THAT THE HOTEL DOESN'T ACCEPT PURTORICO'S ID. The credit card name & guest name must match. The guest said he has no physical credit card.
I WROTE: Dear Friend, I understand your point. I heard the conversation on the cell phone when you told him that he had to be an ID from the United States. The card has the same name as the ID License of Puerto Rico. I do not understand your misunderstanding, because you gave me an excellent service in October 2021. Lose care. We made the suggestion that you gave my son to go to another hotel, which I listened to by cell...
Read moreI'm only giving 3 stars because I'm a hardcore Google reviewer and I score as honest as possible. The place is older and a motel setting. I feel the pictures have it to much justice! The room smelled like an ashtray so and it made me want to vomit. I'm a smoker but do not smoke inside! With that being said the place was clean! The stag was extremely friendly! Yes it is no 5 star resort of course and the price was right for what it was. The thing that bothered me was the office was locked ( but I was still able to check in!) and I figured maybe they close the office after a certain time for security. In the morning when I went to check out the office was still closed so I had to go to a side window. I couldn't look at the pamphlets for local attractions and my 12 year old was nervous about the area. A child should not feel like that just to sleep in a hotel room. I won't stay there again, but nothing bad happened! There is a nice little diner like 1 minute away ( pretty much in the parking lot).I did read the reviews before making a reservation but people made this place sound a but better than what it was! I requested a non smoking room and got an ashtray so that is part of my scoring. Again the staff is super friendly and professional and the place was clean and basic ( which I expected). It was decent for just a place to sleep for one night and get back to the attractions before heading home. I had to spray the room a lot just to get used to it so if you are a non-smoker or don't like smelling like an ashtray I would not recommend this place!! If you don't mind the smoke smell or smoke inside and need a cheap decent place to stay then...
Read moreI travel to West Palm Beach to play in an athletic event and basically want a good nights sleep. Have tried all of the expensive hotels and often haven been woken up at night by yelling or noise in the halls or noisy air conditioning. This was my third visit to the Park View. It is the essence of an old Florida road side motel. The good news - the room is clean and the air conditioning unit is my room #25 was new and very quiet. The motel has front room facing the Dixie highway and second tier which is behind and has no highway noise. The house keeper made up my room daily and even folded my clothing left on the bed! My room was recently repainted and had new carpet. For some reason the owner hasn't cut a 1/4" off the bottom of the door and you have to push hard to enter. For some reason the manager locks the door to the lobby and you have to register from a rear window off the parking lot with a pass thru slot for your credit card - just like a cheap motel in Mexico! Not sure if a single female traveler would be comfortable in the check in process. Nearby are are three great and inexpensive restaurants - Howley's, Dixie DInder and Flaigan's on Southern Blvd. ||At Flaigan's I got their special - dinner rolls, a large ceasar salad, 1/2 order of ribs, a draft beer - $16.95 WOW ! The only negative is the foam pillows which are hard as a rock. Next time I visit I will buy an inexpensive pillow at Kmart. Otherwise - good choice for the money ! I will be returning...
