Southdale Shopping Center — Local services in West Palm Beach

It's not necessarily a bad place its a shopping plaza. And it's a very old shopping plaza. Some parts have been redone like they moved the parking sections around but it still has that outlines of the older one. They have added new paint and stores to it but it still needs a more modern look. I will try to update this review later and show a few images of the outside but basically it's a plain parking lot outside of the stores. Publix has been remodeled on the inside. There's a pet supermarket which is fairly new. Grand China is an old Chinese restaurant that's been around for over 17 years. It's mostly more of a takeout location only has about two tables inside not exactly made for relaxing. This is a straight up strip mall that is anchored by the Publix. It faces Southern Blvd between Parker and Lake. In addition to the supermarket, there isa CVS, cell phone, chinese, shoe repair, laundry, and a pet supply store.

The shopping center is in very good condition though the aisles for parking are not marked. It is easy to go in just about any direction so be on the lookout for people going horizontally when the aisle is vertical. Parking is angled.

It is quite close to I-95 making for a good amount of traffic and maybe attracts a certain element. As always, be aware of your surroundings, lock your doors and be sure to leave valuables...

As usual, Pet Supermarket was great! Personnel helpful as soon as I walked through the door. Found the LAST of the size of canine i.d. tag I needed for my Lab. Put it aside for me until I completed my shopping. (Prices lower, too!) Helped me with engraving the tag; paid my bill; and then young man loaded my car without my even having to ask! They really are genuinely nice. (P.S.: I prefer the Publix in Southdale, too, but I didn't need anything there yesterday. People there are also very nice, prices I find are a bit lower, and this Publix usually has everything...
