I came to hotel on 6/6 at around 4am Cameron checked me in. I called ahead and drove 30 minutes out to come there. He explained at check in that my che k out wasn’t until 6/7 because of the time I checked in. Later that day I got a knock on the door and I was asked to leave at 1:pm on 6/6 eventhough my receipt and Cameron the front desk manager on duty told me I my stay was until 6/7. I am being asked to leave and I am on my reset I can not move my truck until after 10 hrs. I have only had 4-5 hours of sleep, this was a shock to me. I have stayed at lots of super 8 hotels I just stayed at one last night and have never been treated like this. The manager was rude and did not care about the receipt and what her employee told me. I drove an extra 30 minutes out my way and called ahead just to come here to make sure that I would have enough time to rest before the rest of my drive. I should have not been treated this way. She went on to say he doesn’t know the policy he is was wrong in what he told you, you have to pay for an extra day or leave. I tried to reason with her and let know that the contract/ receipt said otherwise she did not care. I am not a confrontation person and I also had a dead line to make delivering that truck so I paid. I never complained that room smelled of mildew and that the housekeepers were so loud that I was awakened by loud cleaning and talking outside my room at 9am. I was very disappointed because I stay at super 8 a lot and have never had a bad experience. I feel like she treated that way because I’m a African American woman. Lastly when I finally left the following morning I come out to the truck to find the gas tank open and no gas in either gas tank I barely made it to sheetz to get gas to drop the truck off. I am also a business owner and i have been in positions where I made a mistake misinformed someone or had someone on my team make a error, I have to fix it make things right customer service is the number one rule in business. She was very...
Read moreOur room had electrical problems in outlets in the bedroom, bathroom, and on the desk. The smoke alarm was loose, hanging from the ceiling. Our cable TV wasn't connected correctly so the first night there we had none. The day shift manager figured it out the next morning. The evening manager couldn't offer any help other than blaming the cable provider. A sign outside of the main entrance says no smoking within 25 feet ...they should take the sign down because somebody was always smoking by the door when we went out or in. My husband has asthma and the smoke bothers him, but nothing I could do about that. No orange juice all 3 mornings I was there for breakfast. The parking lot is small and some customers may need to park in the shopping center parking lot next to it. We have a Ram 3500 so it could have been a challenge if we got back too late. We were fortunate and were able to park close to the building. We had a ground level room and the window lock wasn't the best, basic and easy to break if anybody wanted in. The bracket holder for the blow dryer was broken and there was water in the coffee maker I had no idea how old it was, plus it wasn't plugged in. Party people in the parking lot the first two nights. The hotel is close to the interstate and has easy access to several takeout restaurants within walking distance (McDonald's, Subway, and a local pizza place come to mind). There is also a gas station in the shopping center area. The day manager Kris was the one who fixed the tv for us and was happy to listen to us about the problem the night before. He pretty much salvaged the experience for us because he took the time to care. We only went there because all the hotels in Elkins were booked and we had to go out of the area to get a room. Not sure if we'd go back or not. We don't have need for travel to...
Read moreI booked two rooms during our visit to Weston. We've stayed here before with no issues. We arrived around 11 pm and checked in. The first room they put us in smelled like an animal had been left in the room. It was very strong smell. My husband attempted to turn the TV on and after inspection that it was plugged in it was just not working. I went to the front desk and we she moved us rooms. We checked into tye new room and it smelled like it had been flooded and shut up for days. The window was also completely open and the curtains pulled back. We was so tired we just went to bed. When we got up the next morning the floor felt like it had been wet. We had a event to go to so I went to the front desk and asked when the manager would be in and if they could check our room as I wasn't trying to be a problem but our room was very unacceptable. They said the hotel was full. We called other hotels and they was also booked. I was told a manager would reach back out to me and our room would be changed. 3pm I still hadn't heard anything so I called the hotel. The manager was instantly combative and said she was working on her day off and doesn't know what her employees do. I asked if she had inspected the room and she said why would she. I asked for a clean room and she was so combative and asked dif I wanted to come smell all the rooms to see what satisfied me. We just wanted a clean room we paid 350 to sleep in a molded room. My group also went to get breakfast the first morning and they had molded bagels in the trash can and the gravy for the Biscuits was dark brown from being left on hight in a crockpot. Completely different experience than our last visit. Was refused a refund and was badgered by the staff for wanting a clean room. Pay the extra and stay...
