Read moreI cannot say enough good things about Tahquamenon Suites Lodging! The unit that we stayed in was spacious, clean, inviting, and a perfect fit for our family. The lodging facilities are more than you see on the website and the differing options for spaces to stay in is why it’s more expansive than what’s shown online. We had lots of space to spread out between the split living room that had comfortable chairs to sit on. There is WiFi access, cable TV, a sitting area outside with picnic bench, and a balcony view of one of the main roads in Paradise. The unit was newly renovated with a king bed in one room and a queen in the other. Tahquamenon Suites Lodging felt like home in Paradise. We had a contact less check-in and the owner was easily accessible via phone. He contacted me the day of check-in to provide all the necessary information for our stay. There is a beach nearby and access near a local museum. The kitchen is stocked with dinnerware and cookware and there are also menus for the local diners and restaurants in the unit, the neighborhood itself shuts down pretty early but breakfast at the Wheelhouse Diner and the Berry Patch was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and headed over to Tahquamenon Falls State Park which is just a short (10-15 minute) drive away. The value for the price at Tahquamenon Suites Lodging cannot be beat. I recommend staying here 1000% and quite frankly can’t...
Read moreMy wife and I were traveling a lot over the last few days. We are doing a circle tour of the U.P. and decided that staying in one location for 3 days was in order. We called from Marquette and they had a room for the 3 nights we needed.
It turns out that they have a kitchenette in them. 2-burner stove; Microwave; Fridge; dishes and sink. I love that part. We bought some groceries from the overpriced store in town. But still, for the price of lunch and breakfast, we ate for 2.5 days. (We did eat at the fantastic Brown's Fishery in Paradise. I HIGHLY recommend it too!) This is a great location if you are visiting Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point's Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Lighthouse, or just need a quiet place to vacation. It is only an hour and 15 min from Mackinaw City, and the same time to the Soo Locks in Sault Ste Marie.
But, back to the hotel itself. The rooms are ALL remodeled 2 years ago. The rooms look just like the pictures on their website. No kidding! Beautiful rustic furniture, pine trim, and some carpet/some wood floors. It is calm and pleasant, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
I don't know what the rest of the options in town have to offer, but for the price we paid, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. (Note: they offer a discount for 2+ nights at a time)
There is no reason to stay anywhere else in town....
