Paradise Food Pantry Market — Local services in Whitefish Township

This store is really taking advantage of people. Prices here are insane and there isn’t much in the way of actual food - a few frozen goods and lots of junk food and side dishes. I understand the need to charge more because of the convenience/location but they mark nearly everything up 100% or more from normal. If that’s not enough they then tack on a “store service charge” of 3.99% - it doesn’t appear to be a credit card fee, it is just an across the board “stick it to you” fee they don’t mention except for a tiny sign next to the register.

Be on the look out for them not honoring deals they have advertised. For example they offer a discount if you get two bottles of a certain brand of wine but then they ring them both up at the single bottle price.

I’m not sure how other area stores compare but I will try...

Small place and very expensive. It has all the things you need but just be prepared to spend a ton of money. 6 bucks for a bag of potatoes, 5 bucks a pound for Hamburger and 11 bucks a steak is crazy ! I can't even believe what I paid for a package of cheese(3.49), lunch meat(4 bucks), small tub of butter (3.79), hot dogs(4 bucks) and bread(3.69) ! My fault though. When you stay in Paradise, you don't have a lot of options on where to buy your food. Unfortunately, this is one of your only options. I thought "Well let's give it a try." The alcoholic beverages are decently priced, I know because Mom and Dad bought some wine. All I wanted was some pops for the trip. Guess how much it was for two twelve packs? $15!!! What is this, Alaska? However, we noticed the other items were ridiculous as well. And finally, I had to wait about a minute before the staff finally realized I was ready...
