We recently spent three unforgettable nights at Good Medicine Lodge and we cannot say enough about the exceptional level of service and care we received. From the moment, my now husband and I decided on Glacier National Park for our wedding, I went looking for a place that would be able to host most of our family and friends and allowed us to book the entire lodge. When I found Good Medicine, Derek and Shayla immediately went into action to make my dream wedding possible. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like family, going above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our stay was perfect.
The breakfast each morning was simply incredible, with a delicious array of fresh, locally sourced options that left us eagerly anticipating the next meal. When you visit, you will soon realize the food options in Whitefish aren't superb, but Shayla's and Megan's breakfast is the best breakfast you will find in all of Whitefish. The hospitality here is unmatched; the warmth and kindness of the staff made us feel truly at home. On our wedding day, Shayla made sure we had enough water and it qwas 95 degrees, so she went out of her way to find umbrellas for the outside. Shayla even made me my wedding cake and the day after, made my favorite olive oil cake for a mid day snack. I can't even begin to express my gratitude for such a wonderful human being.
Good Medicine Lodge will forever hold a special place in our hearts, as it was where we chose to host our closest family and friends. The memories we created there will last a lifetime. We cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a place that combines comfort, care, and a genuine sense of belonging. When we left, we felt so sad because it really started to feel like home. We will be back...
Read moreThis was hands down the best BnB experience I've ever had. All the glowing reviews were accurate. Sara and Ryan are so welcoming and great to chat with. You get to pick your breakfast each day and it's cooked fresh. Above and beyond a continental breakfast you'd get in a hotel, these meals were gourmet, well-balanced power meals to get you ready for a day of activity (skiing in our case). Ryan even bakes fresh sourdough bread and english muffins (yum) and brews his own coffee (double yum). In the evening there are nice appetizers (like, bacon wrapped figs and baked feta!) with wine/beer. You can light the cozy fire in the sitting room any time. Outside there's a hot tub and gas outdoor fire pit which was fantastic at night for our sore ski muscles. For skiers - there's an equipment room you can stash your gear in and a boot drying rack. We stayed in the Blackbear room and loved it; it was just right for the two of us. Overall, the ambiance of this place is perfect- they nailed the nice, warm, welcoming, cozy mountain lodge feel.
Location: The BnB is right on the SNOW bus route, so we didn't even need to rent a car. We'd take the bus each day up the mountain to ski and back. Then in the evenings we'd hop on the bus the other direction and take it downtown to go to dinner/the bars (it's a ~15 minute walk otherwise, which would be fine in summer but a bit chilly in winter). Super easy. Right across the street there's a fantastic taco restuarant too (Taco Tuesday is a thing and it was super fun).
I will never consider staying anywhere else in Whitefish. We'll be back for more ski trips and...
Read moreWe had a wonderful experience at the Good Medicine Lodge. Before we decide on place to stay for winter vacation I made a lot of search and this place showed up with 5 star reviews that’s why we decided and I can tell that was one of our best decisions ever. Every staff member I encountered, since we entered to the check- in every team member were happy to assist and were delightful and eager to help! The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate honeymoon and the best part was they offered us one of their suit Huckleberry as an upgrade and placed an amenity to celebrate us! Amazing! We both work on hospitality and I can tell that they provide the best high touch service, make you feel unique. They put smile on our face every single day! Thank you! Will recommend to everyone who I talk with about this amazing experience. And breakfast every morning, OMG! I know that might sounds crazy but every single day we both were so excited to start our day with sourdough bread, fresh coffee, dessert(muffin, cake which freshly made every day) and crunchy granola these are just starters before they serve your breakfast… sounds crazy but this is real! And the sourdough babka that Ryan was working on… delicious! Oh, before I forgot! After you discover the city or come back from skiing there is a plate waiting for you with wine as an afternoon snack… delicious.. Ryan Sarah and rest of the team are doing just amazingly good work to make your stay perfect. We are definitely going...
