Whitefish train station is worth a stop. The long freight trains rolling west and east give a hint of the volume of products coming out of Montana and North Dakota. The railroad museum shows this has been going on for over a century. The stately spruce trees east of the station building attest to the time. The park across the station is clean where you can enjoy a picnic lunch and relax.

Cute little museum inside the train station! Lots of information in a small area! The lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Nice free activity if you're visiting the Whitefish area.
