My husband and I want to thank Amtrak employees for going above and beyond to help us. They saved an otherwise delightful trip from being ruined. Sandra at Whitefish, Montana Station and Ron, conductor between Whitefish and Everett, WA. As the train was delayed returning to Everett, we took occasion to charge our cell phones. In the rush to load the train, neither of us grabbed our phones. Realizing within minutes our situation, we contacted the conductor Ron. We were already in the mountains of Montana and out of phone range. He explained to us that the station would be locked and secure until preparation for the arrival of the Eastbound train tomorrow morning. We had a sleepless night waiting for the time he could call. He tried just prior to the scheduled opening time and Sandra answered the phone. I explained our plight and she located them, offering to put them on the next westbound Amtrak to Everett station. I never realized how handicapped we were with out communication. How grateful we are to these two employees for saving our vacation and so much more in the value of our cell phones. Thank you Sandra and Ron. BTW the rest of the staff was also very friendly...

I've booked a round trip in state and had the first train canceled because of weather, got rescheduled for the train the day after I was originally supposed to leave, and then had that one get canceled too due to a "service disruption." Spent over half an hour on hold both times trying to get it figured out, and while the customer service rep was decently friendly they provided nothing that I couldn't have done myself through the website if Amtrak actually let you make changes...

Very disappointed. It's only 20 degrees outside so I don't want to go to station too early to pick up a friend. It is a cold building. Can't find a number to call station to check status and national number keeps ringing busy. On line available data says on time but it's due in Whitefish in 10 minutes and my friend texted that they are probably 2 hrs late. One other station on the east side of the mountains shows it 2 hr 25 min. late. Zero customer service, local...
