On 12/23, after stopping by the other tire shop that was closed in town because my tire pressure reading on the dash of my 2019 Cadillac XT4 said my front right tire was at 20 PSI, had stopped in to Cliffs to see if I could borrow the airhose to inflate my tire or if someone could inflate it for me. I was told that they " are not giving air". After I had asked my question the young lady at the desk asked if it was actually low or if that is what my dash was telling me, before I could explain that it was my dash and the tire appeared physically to be low, the older lady behind the counter said that they were not giving air unless the tire was checked with gauge, not having a gauge, and being rudely interrupted I left because they obviously were not going to help. I did finally get a gauge and the front right tire was at 20 psi, just as my dash read. This is a tire shop, that won't help motorist with tire pressures. I have given cliffs alot of business both personally and on my company vehicle over the years. Each time I have encountered miner problems with their work, though i continued to bring my vehicles there (trying to support local businesses). This is not how I feel I should be treated or anyone for...
Read moreThis car shop is absolutely fantastic. We bring our cars all the way from Idaho for Cliff to work on. He has serviced multiple vehicles for myself, my company, and friends. The front of the house the back of the house is world class. They have performed tire, brake, steering linkage, gas and electric repairs. I feel much safer on the road after my vehicle has been at Cliffs. I'm impressed with their shop rates. I'm impressed with their technical know how. I'm very impressed with how quick they turn around vehicles without ever having an issue with quality. I'm serious. Cliffs is a diamond when it comes to mechanics. The two ladies I've talked to that run the desk are great to work with. They communicate timelines/issues, they work with your schedule, and deliver all around fantastic customer service. And the mechanics are world class. I won't make the mistake of taking my vehicle to any other mechanic here in Whitehall, or Townsend, or Boise. Cliffs are guy, and he should be yours too. Thank you again so much for the repeated...
Read moreThis afternoon, while fueling up my M/H in Whitehall, MT., I noticed I had a flat tire on the left rear, outside dual - as Cliff's Automotive / Tire Repair shop was just across the street, I walked over to see if I could have it repaired. As they had just completed another repair, I was told to bring it right over. On inspection of the tire, the repair man (Cliff, I presume) determined the valve stem extension had been severed, probably by ice junks, as the highway was covered in ice, slush and snow, which somehow had gotten between the duals and broke it off. He also determined there had been no damage to the tire, and promptly installed a valve stem core and 'aired' it back up. Upon completion, when I asked 'how much', 'Cliff' said all it took was a 'little air' and he would not take a cent. The least I could do is to post this so others will know (they probably already know of their great service) Again, I would like to thank Cliff's Automotive for the excellent service. Thank...
