By far one of the worst stays of my life in the last 36 years. My friend booked a room for me to stay in while her father was in the hospital. I came to stay for a day to help her out. I get to the hotel around 1:00 am. Get to my room which looks nice so that is a plus. The second I make it to the bed the power goes out. I go and check and the power is out for the whole building. I go back to the room with the flash light of my phone turn the sheet down barely on one of the beds and sit, thinking maybe it will come on soon. While I sit the couple in the room next to me is WILDLY LOUD. I then wait about 5 mins no lights come one. Go to the stairs to walk down and find a gentleman that works there asking what the issue is. He was far from helpful states it affected the whole block. Inform him I will not be staying as the people next to me are loud and without power to do anything I will be finding another place to stay. I at the time believe he would write it down that I left to which he did not. He also makes a snide remark I bet someone wrapped themselves around a pole. I then leave and go to another hotel. My sister use her points w/ her employer to cover cost of the room at Baymont. We call the next morning to get those points refunded and are told no. Get told that the room was used and they will not be refunded. Doesn't matter that they were without power all night. Tried to explain when you book and pay for room you expect there to be power. Without power you can't see, cant use the TV, can't shower, flush the toilet nothing. They did not care that they did not meet the standard accommodations when staying at a hotel. I tried to call Spoke w/ Cassie who to say the least was one of the most unprofessional ladies I have ever spoke with. She could not back up any of the questions I asked and use the escape quote of ma'am I am not longer going to discuss this with you. The lack of compassion in a time of family crisis and lack of professionalism in taking responsibility for not meeting the accommodations that come standard is appalling. Now turns out there was a wreck and a pole was hit which they cannot control, however they should have refunded or done something. We didn't even get so much as an I am sorry or any kind of explanation. I only found out a pole was hit as I was driving to the new hotel.
So for those that look at review I ask you a question what would...
Read moreI come to work regularly in Wichita Falls at one of the local hospitals, and I frequently travel for work. I've seen a lot of hotels over the past several years, most pretty nice, a few kind of sketchy. This hotel is far and away one of the best I've stayed in. The thing that makes this place so nice is the staff. Sure the beds are comfortable, the rooms are up to date, and the shower is nice and warm. But it's the staff! I've previously reviewed this hotel and shared my great experience with Demetria, and she is still just as wonderful. However this time I'd like to mention 2 more absolute stand-out employees here. Rochelle is so kind, and even went to the trouble of checking on me because I didn't arrive close to when I suspected I would. I drive across west Texas to get here, and I didn't show up when I should have, so she checked on me!!! Its nice to know folks still care, and she definitely does! The other gentleman is named Byron, the overnight guy. There is not a thing that Byron has yet to be able to fix for me. He takes pride in where he works, treating the hotel and guests as if it were his own personal business. That's a pretty big deal, as very few employees take that much pride in their jobs. I hope this helps you understand why I give this place 5 stars. Its these amazing people who make this more than just a clean, decent place to sleep. Thanks Byron and Rochelle, and Demetria, and all of the other people here I've yet to meet! This hotel is lucky...
Read moreWell ...a quite unpleasant experience where I was blindsided by racial tensions and a front desk gal with a severe inability to accept any issues that arise from malfunctioning equipment in the rooms. She was too concerned with "I didn't say that, I never said that, I not one time said that" but she certainly IMPLIED that which she claims: "I didn't say that, I never said that, I not one time said that". Then I was essentially told that "there are rooms that she still has to assign" but clearly due to whatever hardships she has placed upon me, none of those unassigned rooms would be made available to me. She came up to my room to verify that indeed there was improperly working equipment in the room but despite that verification by herself she continued to throw a majorly disrespectful attitude at me. She was asked to leave the room several times because at that point I felt she was increasingly uninterested in a mutual resolution. She refused to leave the room even after being asked three times. As I was exiting the building while on a cell phone call with booking.com she hollered at me as if I was not very obviously holding my phone in my hand and up to my ear.
The air conditioner was making a very loud incessant ticking noise, the room smelled of a wet dog that had been covered in flea spray. I have no idea about the rest of...
