I reserved a room at this hotel on Thursday at 5:10 PM (Reference ID: DFAT4125) OYO Hotel Wichita Falls I-44 Sheppard Airforce. When I arrived at the hotel, I was late checking in, the lady that was working was asleep on the couch. When I woke her up to check in, she got very upset with me. She told me that she had a cash deposit policy and I had to give her $10 cash. After telling her that I don't carry cash, she had me fill out some card with my information and gave me a key for a room for a king size bed, (room 225) when I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. I returned to the office to have to wake her again to fix the room issue. After getting the room key fixed, I entered the room (room 228) to find a bathroom with missing tiles, bathtub was completely disgusting, beds bigger than the box frames they sat on, and not clean, holes in the wall and just a general mess everywhere. Iimmediately left the room and returned the key. I then contacted OYO via chat approximately 1 hr later (after finding another hotel) and cancelled and requested a refund for the reservation. Since then I have had to chat in a total of 3 times, each time re-explaining and being told that at no time was my concern escalated as it should have been and that no one was reviewing my issue. I was also told that a team had to "validate my concern". When a customer raises a concern, the first employee they contact should validate it. Another team may be needed to "investigate" my concern but it should be validated instantly. But that aside. I was promised that my issue would be address in 24-48 hours, I waited 48 hours and chatted back in and was told that no one was working on my issue. And the photos on this and every other site for it do not look anything like you will find...
Read moreStarting with check-in the person behind the counter was the most rude person I have ever seen working with the public! He requested a $10 cash deposit in case of damages to the room. We walked in the single king non-smoking room and was immediately hit with a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke trying to be covered up with a strong scented spray! The carpet was spotted with stains from who knows what and I'm sure hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long! The fire alarm had no batteries and the battery cover was completely missing so could not have worked! There was a TV and remote in the room but it could not be turned off with the remote. There was no coffee pot in the room but there was a small refrigerator and a microwave that looked like something had burnt in it and was never cleaned. The bathroom was fairly clean and the bed and bedding was clean which were the only plusses. There were barking dogs across the street and people yelling outside in the middle of the night. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel in Wichita Falls on Wolcott St. nor will I ever stay there again. They should be...
Read moreI googled a hotel in the area with reasonable rates and this was the first to pop up. NEVER AGAIN . First off online it claims to be $36 a night but I was charged $56 for one night. Then I had to circle building 3 times just to find a parking space for there is twice as many rooms as parking spaces. Then I had to walk from back of building to office 3 times due to my key card would not open the door. I requested a refund explaining I'd just drove 900 miles was tired and had not even opened the room door yet ( because it wouldn't open) and the guy in the office refused said I would need to speak to manager and he wasn't there. Upon entering the room it smelled of old cigrettes and was musky smelling like damp clothes . The furniture appears to have mold on it. I'll post pic if allowed. I would not leave my pet in this place more or less a human being. I will be attempting to contact the cooperate office over this hotel chain concerning this location and the government branch in charge of inspections of these properties because this is discussing. Should me...
