This place is bad! To say it's bad gives it entirely too much credit! I'm not picky or demanding. I've stayed in some bad places all over America... this one is the worst!!!!
The good: it's not crowded, and there weren't any bed bugs.
The bad: after arriving we tried to take showers before going out. There was no shampoo. Easy... my wife walks to the office to get some shampoo that they inadvertantly forgot... except ... they didn't forget! They don't supply anything but bar soap. The clerk was kind enough to inform my wife that she could walk to the 7-11 next door and buy some. (How thoughtful).
After buying shampoo we showed and went to our show.
Back at the hotel we're in bed waiting on our son to visit. Door and deadbolt locked door latch engaged. All of a sudden after a knock, the door busts open and was only stopped by the latch. It was my son. Alarms go off in my head! I asked what he did to open the door because I had the deadbolt thrown. He said, I just opened it. I sent him back outside to try the lock... The door opens like there is no lock... EVEN WITH THE DEADBOLT CLOSED.
Room 110 if anyone wants to know.
My son also found dried blood on one of the wall sconces.
We discussed what to do and decided that it wasn't safe to stay where we were. We packed and decided to just check out and go home.
The clerk got upset with my wife when she told her the door would not lock. She didn't ask for her money back. She just wanted to let them know the lock was bad. This left my wife feeling like we were targeted to be robbed in the middle of the night. In her defence most of the other tenants were in another building across the lot.
The take away is always try your locks at motels. I've never had this happen before. Take the behavior of staff seriously. If there is a red flag, move on.
Forewarned...
Read moreI booked this hotel so I could stay down in Texas until my husband got his orders and graduated tech school. Everything was okay at first. House keeping barley came (even thought they said they came a certain time every week). About two weeks in, my cats were going crazy about something. It took me an hour to finally see the MOUSE that ran across my floor. I freaked out! I tried to catch it but with no luck I walked myself to the front desk. The lady that was there told me "well I can't help you" handed me a broom and that was that. So me being 6 weeks pregnant had to get ON THE FLOOR with the mouses FECES (which can have diseases in it) and coax it out from under the fridge. That took me about an hour. I finally captured it and released it outside away from the hotel. The next day my husband had them switch my room. In the room i got switched to, there were these nasty cockroach looking bugs. One after another there they were crawling on my bed, the floor, and on my things. Not to mention the four HUGE spiders the size of an aspirin lid that I also found in the week I stayed there. It was GROSS. The previous room had the bugs too but not as bad as these ones. And also one morning the house keeping lady comes BANGING on my door at 9:30 in the morning! Check out is 11 am and that's when house keeping is supposed to come. Also the sheets smelled like teenage boy laundry. The beds are super hard and made my hips so sore that I couldn't sleep for more than five hours on them. One last thing, when the house keeping lady finally cleaned my room, she used a broom to sweep and then put a WET TOWEL over the BROOM to mop the room. So professional right? No. This place is RIDICULOUS. The only reason this place is getting two stars is because the man at the front desk was nice to my...
Read moreWhere do I start! Horrible ! I had a 2 day stay, I was driving my daughter's car to AFB along with my granddaughter. I had a 2 day drive from Ohio. I had already stayed in a Red-Roof inn - in Springfield MO. So I had a long drive. I walked in the room and it was just ok, my daughter had already left but called me and asked me how I was doing....she could hear in my voice I really wasn't ok.
Let's start with fly flying around aggravating me...ok I'm trying to get over it ....as it happens. Remote control doesn't have a back....again ok - it happens. But then I look up ....no smoke detector ..... only the wires and hole where the smoke detector goes. Ok I'm thinking what's going on. The I look up again ceiling has pieces hanging....now I'm starting to get irritated....as I have stayed at Motel 6 before during my driving travels (all the way from Ohio to California) The walls had dents ....now we starting to get depressed. I was uncomfortable staying the night as the inn has the door facing outward to all cars.
So now we wake up and I'm going through a crying spell of depression and realize I need to check out. I couldn't even take a show because the bathroom remined me of a gas station restroom. The bathtub was rusted around the drain area. The place where they stored the towels and wash rag was dirty and dusty. ....that's when I discovered the dead fly next the items I would wash myself with! That was it I was done. I book Baymont checked out and waiting outside for the uber. It was the worse I have ever had......and again I have driven all the way from Ohio to California and used to drive in the midwest as a delivery person over several states....so yeah I have stayed at various...
