Uptown Motel - Wichita Downtown — Hotel in Wichita

It was clean and nice. The only thing is the manager was to nosey and when family members came to bring food the manager and his wife would chase them off the property. They couldn't even come in and eat with us. They only allowed 2 people in room . We had money to rent all week but I had to rent an extra room for my other son which was another 70 to 75 dollars, the money we couldn't afford but had no choice to rent. There were times we had no place to go until we gotten the money. And one more thing is when he knocked he would open the door right away and enter, there were times I or my son would be showering. Couldn't explain to them cuz they didn't speak or understand. But if you go there to get a room make sure it's only 2 people or if u have the money to rent ur kids...

Avoid at all costs! An absolute wreck of a place! Smells of stale crack smoke, TVs do not function reliably, no ice maker, 1970s style door keys, light switches non functional, AC will not cool the room in 100° weather, and despite cinder block construction, it appears dilapidated inside and out. Proprietor’s accent is unfathomable, especially as he hides behind bulletproof glass and cannot be heard. We hit rock bottom in Wichita…. $75 for a room that should be $25, given the location...

They let us stay until we found an apartment. The lady was extremely rude. She charged us 260 per week at first. Then all of a sudden told us that we owed her $20 more. One week, we had someone pay the week for us. That person paid 260. The lady in the office didn't thell thw person that paid for us that it was $20 more. Instead​ he toldus later on that we owed $20.
