All, Please see the photos. The hotel management will not address concerns or respond to them directly. Soiled flooring near the conference room with towels absorbing it near where children were coming and going from. After driving over 13 hours from Chicago, my family and I arrived at this property expecting the level of quality, safety, and professionalism associated with the Choice Hotels brand. Unfortunately, what we experienced was deeply disappointing and concerning on multiple levels. Upon check-in, I was issued keys to a room that was already occupied. Thankfully, the guests inside were understanding and not placed in a compromising situation. When I returned to the front desk to report the issue, I noticed that the staff had no uniform or consistent dress code, creating a disorganized and unprofessional impression. I was told that the mix-up occurred because another guest had a similar last name an error that should have been prevented with proper verification procedures. After being reassigned to a new room, the replacement keys did not work. Compounding the frustration, my elderly father encountered a large dog roaming freely in the hallway, which entered his personal space and startled him particularly distressing given that he had previously been bitten by a dog. The condition of the hotel itself was unacceptable. The hallways had a strong, unpleasant odor, the carpets were heavily stained, and one section of the ceiling was open, with soiled linens and ceiling material on the floor all within reach of guests and children. The luggage cart provided was also unsafe, with locking wheels and a bent frame, causing it to tip sideways while being moved. The freezer in the room’s refrigerator was full of freezer frost making it not usable. The door to the room is difficult to open and sticks making it difficult to enter and exit which is a fire safety or emergency response hazard. The bathroom vent is full of grey matter which means the bathroom is not ventilating properly also a safely hazard. Attached are photos documenting the poor conditions and safety concerns present during our stay. As a traveler and paying guest, I am disappointed that this property bears the Country Inn & Suites name. The issues described represent not only a failure of guest service and cleanliness but also serious safety and operational deficiencies that should not exist at a hotel under your brand. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and investigated by your Quality Assurance and Brand Standards team, and that appropriate corrective action be taken to ensure other guests do not encounter similar conditions. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and inform me of the actions taken regarding this property. I prefer to be reached at via email. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Dear owner again, I ask would you stay here?

Arrived at dinner time. We walked in to one of the beds having a broken box spring. Night clerk couldn't do anything about it. We took the cushion off the chair to fill in the gaping hole to make it sleepable only to find disgusting marks under the cushion. The bottom of the one bathroom door was chewed by a pet. They did switch our room to one with intact beds the next day. Had to go get towels and toilet paper several times, after asking at the front desk how often room service would come (I know with COVID it's usually less than daily now which is fine, but she did say every day or at least every other day). I asked if we could just at least have towels daily. Couldn't get enough towels- received 3 one day, 4 at the desk another day, and we were in a room that sleeps 6. Didn't leave us an extra roll of toilet paper a couple of times and we had 2 bathrooms. Although the pool is open until 10pm there were no lights on it. FYI-the pool isn't heated if you are going in a cooler month. The gate around the pool didn't really latch and anyone could walk in, no key card required. Breakfast was decent and nice that it was offered, it was the usual for a hot hotel breakfast - eggs, potatoes, sausage, make your own waffles, biscuits and gravy (weekend only), pastries, muffins, cereal, juice and coffee. Although I get they are pet friendly, they allowed pets in the actual food serving part of the breakfast area one morning, which is bothersome. One day they were getting a new juice machine and turned the old one off, for the breakfast service. If breakfast is only until 9:30, why not wait until after so kids could have juice? The attendant in the food area was very nice though. Hotel was very convenient to all the attractions. The suite was good for a family, it was like two rooms but with an entryway on one side connecting them.

I will begin my review by stating I have traveled all over the world and stayed at many establishments and have never had one attempt to charge my credit card in full before my arrival. This one did. Then contacted me about 6 hours later to tell me that I did not have a valid card on file and if not corrected within a few hours my reservation would be canceled. I am on the highway making over a four hour drive mind you. The general manager insisted this was necessary to insure I was going to show up, even though I told him I was already in route. After being forced to give the information required, I show up at the Country Inn & Suites that has definitely used filters on the pictures posted to their website. My mistake for assuming there is standard for all of the hotels in this chain. I thought this one would be like the others I have stayed at, but it is far from it. Stains on carpet in hallway, along with strange odor. Walls so thin you hear doors slam and conversations in rooms nearby. Towels so thin, glad I bought my own. Several rust spots in bathroom. I took pictures to show. Drain was closed in sink, never could get it open. I also have never been in an elevator in which the certificate of safety aren't posted. Is that legal? In response to owners reply. We have never spoken by phone. Please get your facts correct. And if my card was invalid, reservation would have never been accepted to begin with a month ago. I left the hotel almost 5 hours ago and still have not received a receipt by email, that is customary the procedure at hotels I do business with. You addressed the credit card & sign in elevator but nothing else about below standard issues in my room.

Where do I begin with this hotel: I’m recently home from this hotel and had to leave all my clothes children clothes in the garage scared of what I brought home. Let’s start with location if you are planning to go to bush gardens this location is not even 7 mins away great. Pulling up to the hotel was greeted with three police officers ( was not for me so I was cool). Hotel looked dirty from the car poor landscaping walls of the outside dirty , the pool looked yellow ( but kids was playing in it . Walked into the hotel and greeted with foul smell of mildew and stale water. Went to the elevator ( super slow and smells). My family and I get off the elevator to what seems to be a very humid floor 4th so it’s super hot they have fans in the hallway (house fans that meemaw would have ) blowing down the hallway . They also have an air purifier or some sort going in the hallway. We get to our room, online I paid for a suite with a common area . I open the door to find a u shape room a table in the bedroom mini fridges and the common area is a hallway with a half bath. Come to find out the tv does not work in one room the ac does not work the room smell like sour water as if it was flooded. Ohhhh the rooms have no doors. I go down to the front to express my concerns the gentleman comes up and sees that the ac does not work forgets all about the tv, states that the hotel took the doors off for safety reasons. He states he can call his manager about taking a night off , he comes back to state he can move us to a bigger room for more money . The look on my face was of disbelief and disgust. I tell him no I would just like a night off because my family (5) have traveled 4 hours and we are tired . He then goes back to his manager and she states she does not wanna give us a night off and moves us to a connecting room with two queen beds in each for the same price. We are originally staying in a king bed in one room and a two queen with a suppose couch . They move us now this room still smells but the ac works in both and the tvs work. Now we have two full baths . Let’s talk about how the bathrooms are not clean ( dry toothpaste on the walls, brown stains behind the doors, tubs on a incline feels like ur skating ) at this point I’m over it and my wife is trying to keep me sane. Because I was looking for another hotel on a Friday night for a family of five . As we let the room cool down we start to smell a pee smile by the mini fridge which as we open to discover it has not been clean the freezer has over grown something inside the seals have a green overlay in the cracks . Let’s get to this breakfast , Stale danish’s stale cereal uncooked bacon uncleaned waffle maker bitter coffee. As we leave and come back from the amusement park 5pm the kids ask to go to pool ( not really wanting that ) ppl outside smoking drinking at the pool and the color of the pool is concerning. I was extremely excited to leave this place this morning again everything is left outside and kids need to take clothes off at the door I do not recommend this place I feel as if this place was flooded due to a fire and they are trying to get the mold out of the the rooms and it’s not working . I wanted to stay here because where I’m from we have this hotel and it’s very very clean and I was very disappointed. I do not recommend this place until...
