I am adding to my review that I did call Moody’s to tell them about our dissatisfaction and they did credit us the cost of the meal. That was nice so and the cookies are the best cookies ever, I am changing my rating to 3 stars, however, still disappointing when you can’t eat what you thought was going to be a nice relaxing meal at the end of a long week. We just picked up one of the specials, the beef with fried rice and chicken with fried rice. The tiny portions for the $23 EACH is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!! Does this look like $23 worth of food? Oh, well, i guess the dessert that comes with it, cookies, must make it worth the cost. Ok, well, now that we have heated and eaten, or tried to eat this, I have to add to my review. The saltiness of the beef and broccoli is so over the top, it is not even edible and the rice was mush. I guess I’ll just have cereal for dinner. My husband had the chicken option with the fried rice, he, also said his was not good. Too much vinegar. And he will eat anything. I say to the chef who stands by his food, taste it…….i am sure the beef is of the highest quality, it should be for the price, but we are not idiots and we know what things such as soy taste like and this dish has WAY too much. These dishes were not good. We have always liked your meals, but this one is a dud. And for the price, others should know what was experienced before they lay down that kind of money...
Read moreBefore you read this post you should be aware that my husband and I love Cochon on 2nd. So when Chef Neil Griggs announced that he was opening a new concept restaurant, we were thrilled. Of course, then COVID-19 occurred and everything was postponed, but finally Moody's Kitchen opened.
We have had two very different meals from there. One more formal (salmon and lamb and veggies) and the other fried chicken and mac & cheese. In all instances, the food was extrordinarily good. I know I was left to think... "How can Take-Out be this terrific?" This is certainly not your regular take- place, but a kitchen that offers you something above and beyond. That is always what I am seeking. Although it is "take-out" they manage to keep the same experience as when you go to Cochon, friendly and inviting. This is a place that you will want to put onto your calendar to try at least once, and definately,...
Read moreFirst time at Moody’s, everything was amazing. As you walk in first thing you notice is the amazing smell, second is the comfy atmosphere. Small as it may be the greeting area is clean and homey. I was quickly served and given some recommendations. Conversation was pleasant and in less then ten min I was out back in my car with a wonderful pulled pork sandwich and fries. The sandwich was amazing but even the fries were extra ordinary. They were so good I didn’t want to put ketchup on them and spoil it. They must use duck fat or something, I’ll have to ask next time I go...
