The best aspect of this place is Rocky, the owner, who warmly welcomed me, offered restaurants recommendations (and a small discount at a couple of places with your key fob), and how I can best drive to Greylock. The room itself is small yet perfect for me as I was on my own. The place is far from fancy but seemed well-maintained and clean. Yes, the dresser could be replaced but who really puts their clothes in one 😉. The AC worked and seemed like a newer unit. Also, you can bring your dog here for a small fee/day. There are sidewalks so it seems you can walk them along Main Street with no major issues. It’s only 1.3 miles from the Williamstown Theatre Festival so one could theoretically walk there. I like the fact that it was on the other side of Williamstown on Main Street, as it felt more open. There’s a mini strip mall within walking distance (500 feet, in fact) with a Mexican restaurant and Korean/Japanese restaurant. In the other direction, there’s a diner and a Greek/pizza place that would warrant a car drive. Overall, this has been a nice, affordable place for me, as I attend the theatre festival.

If you are seeking a reasonably priced stay when you are in the North Adams/ Williamstown, MA area, look no further than the Williamstown Hotel. I was looking for last minute overnight accommodation and called this motel. Rocky was extremely cordial and informed me that he had one room left. He was nice enough to hold it for me. Upon arrival, I met Rocky, who not only was very friendly despite the 8 PM hour, but also went out of his way to suggest a few local places to grab dinner. Free breakfast was offered at 8:30 AM, but I did not partake as my travels had me on the road before it was ready. :D This motel is not the Ritz, but the room was very clean, the A/C cold, the shower warm and grounds well-maintained. For the cost, the Williamstown Motel is highly recommended by this seasoned traveler. Thanks, Rocky!

Well, I loved it. I could care less about whether it’s dated or not. My room was clean and comfortable and the whole motel has such a good vibe. I wish every less than $100/room places could be this carefully looked after and welcoming. The doors ( see photo) captured it nicely. Usually I would eye roll but it was fittin’ here.

This motel was one of the worst motel experiences I have had, don't be fooled by all of the 5 star reviews. Our room was more than "dated", it was an absolute dump. The walls had unpainted plaster patches all over the painted walls, the lighting was dim, the plumbing fixtures were creaky and wobbly and moaned when you turned them on, there were holes in the doors, and one of the beds was so deformed it looked like a giant tortilla chip (unusable for even one person in a queen size). There was a courtesy/emergency. phone in the room that clearly was a prop as it didn't even have a cord or a wall jack where a phone could be installed. Gotta admit, we thought that one was pretty funny. We waited for 30 minutes to check in because there was no one in the office (late afternoon), and no one was around when we checked out. We paid $170 dollars a night, which is absolutely outrageous for the tragically regrettable two night stay. I have stayed in Williamstown in other locations for much less- with much nicer accommodations. We chose this option on this trip because they were dog friendly, but I think next time, we'll just leave the dog at home (there was a bowl with uneaten dog food outside of our room with dirt, bugs, leaves, and wet dog food in it that likely would have gotten the dog sick if he had gotten into it). We did not partake in the advertised breakfast, but did attempt to get coffee before hitting the road. It smelled as though it had been sitting on the pot for days, so we opted for the Dunkin Donuts down the road instead. Honestly, these 5 star reviews must be fake- or perhaps people stayed in a different place than we did....

The Williamstown Motel is a hidden gem in an area that is a popular tourist stop and convenient proximity to Williams College. I’ve stayed in this area countless times in the 25 years my sister has lived here and I wish I’d found TWM sooner! The staff, room and premises are all clean, neat, cozy, friendly, etc. Many efforts have been made to accommodate and reassure me/customers in this crazy coronavirus era. I believe this is a family-owned establishment and I cannot say enough about Rocky! He will do just about anything to ensure his customers have a pleasant and enjoyable stay. For instance, my stay was just days after the state’s reopening of lodging. Due to COVID restrictions common areas are not permitted and I’ve had no hesitations or concerns being here. For example, I just had surgery and Rocky delivered ice to my room each night around 10pm so I could ice my shoulder before bed. Rocky also had many great recommendations (which we took) for local restaurants and sites. He is very funny and you’ll always receive service with a smile around the clock. Rocky is very eager to ensure you have a comfortable stay here at the Williamstown Motel. Even your furry friends are welcome here (and you’d never know it by the condition of the rooms). I plan to come back with my fur babies. I am still here as I write this and it’s lengthy but I feel it important to emphasize all the reasons why TWM is deserving of such a positive review. Both Rocky and the establishment go above and beyond! Choose The Williamstown Motel and you won’t be...

Rooms were clean, refrigerator was very loud, we booked this reservation for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 kids 4 people -2 adults and 2 kids. Nothing in the booking of the room was there a clause that stated that the child age was 10 and under, and because of this we were charged an additional $10 a night for the room, we were charged an additional $30. Which is totally ridiculous because there was nothing stating an age and also there were 4 people no matter what. So we were charged for 2 adults and 2 kids plus an additional additional $30 for the 3 nights. I did go back and see and there was nothing stating an age. When were were asked on web site we put in 2 kids age 17. Never a mention of 10 and under, or additional charge for $10 a night for over 10 years. I travel quite often and bring my children and this is a first for an age limit!! Buyers beware, what turned out to be a great value hotel was a nightmare, not worth the chance of being over charged for this or something else!!!! Please be careful I will never book form this establishment, nor would I ever recommend this hotel!! They are crooks out to make a buck, EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, this was our first and last time to stay...
