I am going to write the review I wish I had seen before I booked this room. If you are a female traveling alone or family with children please read this review. The hotel when you pull up is your basic Econolodge. When you walk in you enter a very clean and renovated space. They have taken the time to update the lobby. Greeted by a very nice man at the front desk who was wonderful with checking us in. Our room was a single queen with some extra floor space. It was clean, no funny smells, and seemed to be freshly painted. I would rate the room minus the bathroom 5 stars. Bathroom was clean. Shower had a drip, whatever, who cares. The fan was pretty dirty, the toilet gave you the impression it was going to overflow every time you flushed it, and the lighting made it appear worse than it was. Bathroom was 4 stars. They had a nice breakfast area (spacious), with good food. They have a pool table that we enjoyed playing. I booked this room due to the great reviews I read. I gave it a high star rating as well. I was a woman traveling with a 12 year old child and, unfortunately, until the next morning I did not see any other woman there. This is oil country with traveling workers and it seemed that many stayed there. It was a Tuesday night, but that didn’t stop the MMA fighting or dance party that happened above me starting at 1:30 and lasting until 3am. I called the front desk during that time but did not get an answer. It happens, the night staff have responsibilities to take care of on their shift that pulls them from the desk. I was not going to go up and address the noise makers myself. So, in conclusion, this hotel is very nice and is decently priced. I, however, would not stay with a child again or as a female traveling alone. *disclaimer: I never felt threatened or was made to feel unsafe by the guests I came into contact with. I am simply giving my impression and feelings based...
Read moreI scored you lower because the bathroom floor wasn’t clean, it had some clumps of hair and it also had alot of the cleaning stuff on the floor between the walls and the toilet.
And when we went for breakfast at 7:30am there wasn’t any eggs or potatoes or even plates at all. I went to the front desk and told Iris, the general manager, and she said she had just checked it at 7, but there hadn’t been anyone in according to the man who was sitting in the room. She then said that it would take 25 minutes to get the eggs cooked and 45 minutes for the potatoes??? My husband has to eat gluten free and he could only have a small yogurt and a small container of fruit. Made no sense to me and she didn’t start to cook anything. Another couple came in about 8 and they were looking for hot food as well, so I told them to go and ask at the front desk. They did and Dee who just started her shift came in and said no it only takes 5 minutes to cook the eggs and she got it all done and filled up everything in 5 minutes. I have NEVER been at a hotel breakfast room before when nothing has been filled and there is always a second batch of eggs and meat and potatoes ready. Your General Manager is extremely lazy.
The good thing is that Zack checked me in and was very polite, welcoming...
I have stayed here before. It's 100 feet from my work and the staff are all wonderful. I have never had any issue with staying here. However this 3 day stay was a little different. I noticed that all the way around the bed and between the night stand seemed that it hadn't been vacuumed in a While it was really bad but even worse the chair that's in the corner with a floor lamp behind it and the chair was on legs so atleast a foot clearance between the floor and the bottom of the chair. Was just crazy dirty . As if a vacuum has seen that area of carpet in 6 months. I didn't complain because in all reality its not hurting me physically. I just brought my battery operated small hand vacuum the next day on my way back from work no biggie at all. The shower water pressure was really horrible and the shower knob is broken. But I managed. Everything else was clean and perfect. Like I said I never once complained to anyone about these issues. I might add that the lady working 3rd shift is...
