We stopped at this coffee shop out of town on our way to a little weekend adventure. I didn't see what I wanted anywhere on the menu while I waited in line, so I asked if they had a lavender-honey latte.
I waited for it to be done and a guy came up to me and asked if I had ordered a "honey bee" I said I didn't. He proceeded to walk about 3 feet from me and yell out to the shop that a honey lavender latte was ready...umm, what?
I walked over to him, obviously, and told him that was mine and he laughed at me and kind of rolled his eyes as he handed it over. I found it pretty rude to ask me if I had ordered some "honey bee" and then go over and yell out what I'd ordered.
He was behind the counter when I ordered the honey lavender latte, didn't bother verifying that name with me while standing there in front of me before walking away and yelling it out. It seemed like he was making a joke of me.
The latte was one of the better lavender-honey lattes I've had and their food...
Read moreLike the baked goods and friendly staff, but the coffee, kept in thermal containers isn't served hot. I wish I could say that everything is great because I like the people working so much. It's not a decision made by the lovely people behind the counter to serve coffee that is hours old. Many places do the same thing and it often is a policy that needs to be changed. Check the temperature of the beverages numerous times throughout the day and toss out whatever has gone cold or chill it for use in iced drinks. Tonight was third time I have thrown out my coffee due to the temperature. I never want to return to the store to complain, it's inconvenient. But I have to say that I never have gotten cold coffee at McDonald's and it is less than half the price. I really want to support local businesses but I have thrown out almost $10 on the last month. I recently got a really nice Contigo mug as a gift and will start to brew at home...
Read moreI usually don’t go out for coffee, but I thought I would go to a local coffee house on this relaxing Saturday morning. Arabica seemed like the best option and I thought I would stop by. My first impression is that this coffee house has a great enviornment, and it’s also nice seeing happy employees for a change. I love the selection, and prices are very reasonable. I decided to order the mocha slide with caramel drizzle, and a maple pecan roll. The pairing was lovely, and upon first sip of my latte I was awaken with a burst of flavor. Wow! Just the right temperature, rich chocolate flavor without being overly bitter or having the roast taste burnt. My pecan roll was light, flavorful, and complimented my mocha well. The owner was very friendly and made sure to take my plate away when I was done. I’m quite impressed by this local shop in the heart of downtown Willloughy. Now, THIS is a true...
