Warrior Inn Winner — Hotel in Winner

This motel was very disappointing. The reviews on the internet were misleading! We rented 3 rooms for 3 nights. When we arrived to check in, the check in counter was unattended; however, the counter was covered with billing statements and signed checks. We were given a key for an occupied room. There was a huge "mouse" hole in the bottom of the exterior wall. The carpet was gummy feeling underfoot. During our visit, the lights in our daughter's room went out. No one could help. My husband found the breaker box and flipped the breaker himself (and showed the hotel staff how to do it). The refrigerator in our room was plugged in, but was hot. Two of our room keys were deactivated during our visit. This motel was dumpy! The internet said, "recently remodeled," I challenge that statement---unless they are calling the once exterior doors, that are now covered with plywood, as a remodel. We will...

In my lifetime I have stayed in both inexpensive and quite expensive places. Depending on the situation I am comfortable in either, especially if I know what I am getting in to. I must say the photographs of this place are deceiving. It looks like a quality place. It is not. It is really a place for long-term rentals. The entry is not easy to find. The parking lot is full of potholes. The locks on the doors are a joke. The ceiling tiles look to be able to fall at any moment. The smell inside the room is stall and horrendous even with the air conditioning on. If there was any other place to stay nearby I would have bailed. Unfortunately there was not anything available. It is what it is. Very functional and ideal for pheasant hunters. Pet friendly a plus. Good continental breakfast available. The star in this operation has been Isabel who is unfortunately leaving. She has kept our reservations and deposits spot on and always responds guickly to our needs and requests . She seems to be "jack of all trades " and constantly available. Only hope this continues with the new manager. Nedra, our maid, has been cleaning our room for years and always performs well. Mohammed , the owner, is continuing to update...
