La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham St. Paul-Woodbury 700 Bielenberg Dr Woodbury, MN 55125 (651) 968-0448 Overall Rating: 9.5/10 Length of stay: 1 Night Features: 1 King Size-Clean bed and sheets. Refrigerater/Microwave/Coffee machine(Kirkland coffee pods) TV 32" with decent local cable(tons of sports channels) Small tables on each side of bed with powered light fixtures. Nice corner chair with a light behind. Desk with power above and powered light fixture. Alarm clock. Room: Outlets/USB outlets. There is tons of power here. 1 duplex on each side of bed, 1/2 of duplex behind table next to bed, and 1/2 available in the light fixture. 1/2 duplex next to the chair. Table with 1 duplex on wall and light fixture on desk with duplex. 1 more duplex in entryway as well. Working AC with a fan that does not turn off randomly throughout the night and allows the room to go down to 60° Bathroom setup: Large walk-in shower with sliding doors. The water pressure was nice, and it did drain quickly. Clean shower, sink, and towels. I'm not sure about the brand of products, but there was a soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion dispenser fully stocked. Pool and Hottub: Open 6am-11pm daily. 10pm-11pm adults only swim. Huge hottub, small pool, and small kiddie pool with slide. Very large, well lit room. Very nice with towels available. Fitness Room: Nice sized room with free weights and bench, 2 recumbent bikes, 2 treadmills, & 1 elliptical. Laundry Services: 3 sets of Speed Queen Commercial washers/dryers set @ $2.00 for a load. Free continental breakfast: Yes, breakfast is from 6:00-9:00am Monday-Friday, and 7:00-10:00am Saturday-Sunday. Overall hotel: The hotel was incredibly clean and well maintained. The room was quite large and clean. This is my 3rd visit here, and I highly recommend this hotel.

Never have I been in a hotel where the housekeeping person got upset for taking 5 towels off the cart. Especially now that hotels no longer provide daily service. I would have asked the housekeeper if I had seen him by his cart - but he was conveniently sitting on the floor behind his cart playing with his phone, or so he claims - I certainly did not see him anywhere until he popped out of nowhere to "catch me in the act". After I grabbed the two more towels for the pool later on, he jumped out from behind his cart and demanded I put them back. Then continued to lesson me on how I needed to ask him if I wanted to get towels; pulling out a five dollar bill waving in my face to brag about his tips; does the hotel hire children now? The entirety of my stay would have been ok. Hotels have definitely lost their luster. All I needed was towels. And this encounter could have been handled completely differently resulting in a satisfied guest, instead I am considering staying at a different hotel. The housekeeper is being paid for being at the hotel providing services, I am a "guest" who is paying over $100 a night. I believe an appropriate action would have been for this housekeeper to get up off the floor from his video games and grab two more towels to replace the ones I took. Who knows - maybe it's all the summit he's drinking on the job.

We stayed here before back in 2017 or 2018 when this place was still new. The service was so much better. As of today this place cleaning service/service was horrible!!! We stayed for a whole week and had no cleaning done in our room. We even requested for one to be done after day 4 and the front desk said we should have our room cleaned by 11am on day 4. That was a complete lie! Came back after 11am on day 5 and all the towels, trash and bed sheets were still exactly where they were since we left(the do not disturb sign was NOT outside our door) Also when we ran out of toilet paper for our room. They took so long to bring it. Not only did they take forever, they basically never came up, so we had to call again about needing toilet paper. He didn’t even come up. We had to go grab the toilet paper ourselves from the lobby. We even had to restock our towels ourselves twice. What a disappointment!!! Will probably never come back to this hotel. How do you let customers stay for a 3 plus days and never clean out a room? Im not sure if the cleaning request we put in was ever told to the cleaning people or the cleaning people just didn’t want to do the cleaning but damn one whole week and no cleaning or restocking! Such horrible service!!!!

I was looking for a room at another chain hotel I normally stay at. When they were full (the other locations with available rooms were far too expensive) I looked online for a good hotel in the St Paul area. I never stayed at La Quinta before since I always thought they were kind of ghetto. I was wrong! When I booked my stay for my family, I was amazed at the beauty of the building! It is nestled in a quaint area of Woodbury surrounded by trees and lots of green vegetation. Upon entering the building, I noticed the modern look inside. It was clean, smelled fresh and is very open. The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. I had a room on the top floor and the hallway is clean and modern with nice art and clean flooring. My room style was two queen bed. The door to my room is heavy and well built and the locks are sturdy and safe. To enter, you scan your card via NFC. The door unlocks quick and easy. Room numbers are easy to see.

The carpets in the room are clean. The framed art is positioned in a nice puzzle style that is fitting to the rest of the room. The bathroom is very nice with an oversized bathtub and a nice shower head. The flooring looks like stained wood but it is laminate. The flooring is not slippery since it is textured.

The beds are very nice. Soft, but firm enough to get into and out of bed. The pillows are nice but they give you three pillows instead of four. The blankets are nice and think but breathable. I was able to fall asleep quickly, and wake up refreshed after only 6 hours of sleep.

The A/C puts out ice cold air and it auto shuts off properly unlike some places where the thermostat doesn’t work. The furniture inside the room is modern.. There is a nice desk to have your laptop or tablet placed to do work or play. They have a nice 42 inch flat screen with about 50 channels of TV including HBO.

They give you free WiFi but remember to NOT visit bank sites or other sites with personal info. It is public WiFi with no password needed. Use a VPN if you have to log into your work or need to check your bank info etc. I recommend Avast VPN.

The free hot breakfast is very nice. It’s basically the same as Holiday Inn Express with the omelets, sausage, cereal, bagels and bread. Instead of the pancake machine, La Quinta has a waffle machine! You pour the batter yourself and it makes big Belgian style waffles that taste very nice and only takes 3 minutes to make. They also offer hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels with cream cheese, apples, oranges and bananas.

The amenities here are nice. There a nice business center with printing and faxing available. You also get access to a laundry room (for a fee) with multiple washers and dryers. If you forget your laundry items, they sell them. They also have a little store which sells drinks, goggles, batteries, headphones and some food and candy. My favorite is the workout room and indoor pool! I live in Arizona and we don’t have many indoor pools especially at hotels. The exercise room has your typical machines. Weightlifting, ellipticals, and others. The pool room is awesome! You have a kids pool which is about 8 inches deep and has a slide for the little ones. It also has a waterfall in the center. The other pool is 6-8 feet deep. No diving obviously! The jacuzzi is large and nice and hot.

In a nutshell, I will be staying here every time I visit family! You will...

First of all The staff is VERY rude!! In the less than 24 hours that I was there I had MULTIPLE rude encounters with the front desk staff. I booked a king bed suite with a pull out couch for my kids. When I tried to pull the couch out there was a sign saying the pull out bed is broke and to call the front desk for a roll away bed. Called the front desk and was told I had to come down and get the bed myself. One couldn’t be brought up to me. When I asked why they said they couldn’t leave the front desk and then HUNG UP ON ME!!! What’s the point of booking a suite that offers a queen pull out bed just to find out the pull out bed doesn’t work and now I don’t have enough space for my kids to sleep comfortably. The pool area does not have enough seating. We had to set our belongings on the wet ground because all 4 tables provided were being used. Over crowded pool area. There’s so much chlorine in the pool that my kids were coughing uncontrollably and their eyes burned. I’ve never had a hotel experience like the one I had at La Quinta Inn. Never will I ever go back!!! I wanted a refund but I didn’t dare communicate with the front desk staff based on how I was already treated. The only good thing about this place is the breakfast they offer. Please do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. You will be disappointed with your stay...
