Great location. From the covered roof terrace you can see the historic Gur-i Amir complex to the south, the Rukhobod madrassa to the west and the Registan to the north. I'd say it's more like a hostel, in a very cleverly and tastefully adapted building, probably a barn or stable, on the edge of a dense residential area. Kudos to the architect for his ingenuity! The hostel has everything you need to relax after the exertions of exploring this beautiful city. The rooms are compact, on the ground floor, with small windows opening onto the lobby. Read moreExcellent hotel with very good service . As we missed our connection in Istanbul , we arrived a day late and at 4.15 at night . But the owner picked us up at the airport . ( thank you ) . The room nr 10 was spacious and had windows giving out on the gate outside . The hotel itself is within walking distance from Registan Square and from the terrace you can almost touch Gur i Emir . Breakfast is a feast ( and the best of all our hotels ) . When the company that would get us to Bukhara failed to deliver a driver , the hotel provided one . What more can one wish ? Read moreThis is a wonderful family run hotel in an excellent location. A three minute minute walk from Gur I Amir mausoleum and about fifteen minutes from Registan. Breakfast is a fantastic and very generous and wide ranging mix of Uzbek and Russian staples and there is an endless supply of lemon tea and bottled water. Shukrat was a wonderful host and an excellent companion, guide and teacher on our road trips to Chor Chinor, Shakrisabz, Urgut and St David’s Cave. It felt like home.
