I really liked this hotel. It's beautiful inside and out. My room was clean and tidy - the beds were fine. The bathroom was great with a nice shower. Breakfast was OK - the hotel was very quiet when I was there so I don't know if perhaps there was a limited selection but I was offered cooked eggs which would be made to order. Otherwise it was cold meats, cheeses and some pastries. Coffee had to be served to you which was difficult because there wasn't always someone available to make it for you. The location is out of the city centre but there is a really nice barbecue restaurant just 100 metres away where I ate every night and taxis into the city are just about €1 using Yandex anyway so that's not a big deal for me.
One thing that slightly surprised me was the cost of some of the services - I had 2 beers and one load of laundry done during my stay and ended up paying the equivalent of about €18 for that - this seemed rather expensive compared to the other prices. I wasn't given the break down of the costs but however I look at it it seems like a huge mark-up (beers are 80c in the supermarket and the load of laundry I had done would have cost about €8-€10 in my local Parisian launderette). But obviously I chose to use those services and didn't ask the prices in advance.
I'd stay at this hotel again when I'm in Samarkand - hostels in the city were close to the same price and the level of comfort was much higher here than I would have got...

This place was not up to their usual high standards.|I want to be fair about this.|The reception staff were very helpful and polite and did their best. The location was not good for people like me who like to be close to the centre of cities. I feel that a company like Wild Frontiers should not send their travellers to this place.
