Rohat — Hotel in Samarkand City

Our taxi was able to find it after a quick call with the hotel. They're located just off a mainstreet. They have 8 rooms, and we were the only guests during our stay. The lady who was here at check in spoke limited English, but by exchanging phone number, and her connecting us to the hotel's wifi, she shared the location of the hotel. So with google maps could we always find the hotel back. The room was massive, with lovely bedding - not the plain white. The bathroom had a small bath and no blinds for the window, so you had to ensure you closed the window curtain to ensure the people in the pool weren't looking if there is anyone. The pool was superb, with a few seats to dry off. The pool was very clean. After a good sleep - rooms have airco to keep it cool - we were served a lovely breakfast with enough option. Around the corner is a great place to get a coffee and cake, and opposite of it a burger place with a good burger. The main tourist part is around 20 minute walk, or a short taxi ride. The staff can speak Uzbek and Russian, also a little bit English and Turkish. They have a "no shoe in the building" policy. The location is good. If you want, you can go to Registan and several important places such as Gur Amir on foot. The kitchen is limited, if you want something to eat or drink at night, you can buy from nearby markets at day time and eat or drink at the garden or your room. There are refrigerators at the rooms.
