Horizon Boutique is a small hotel in Samarkand.
We were checked-in by Oybek who was very pleasant and tried his best to make our stay comfortable. Full points to him.
This Hotel will not be suitable for people with mobility issues as there are no lifts and one has to use the staircase.
There is one (or two rooms) in the first floor and another in the second floor and one in the third floor (larger room). We took the rooms on the second and third floor. The 3-4 rooms are reasonably well furnished and clean.
The toiletries were good. The bathroom on the second floor had a bad smell from the sewer. Tried to bring it to the attention of the reception, but nothing was done about this. No towels were provided for the second room as they were apparently being washed and dried. The bad smell in the room from the bathroom needs to be seriously addressed.
We were allowed to use the kitchen on the second floor which also served as the dining area for Breakfast. We used the tea and coffee making facility in the main kitchen.
The Breakfast was very basic and a bit disappointing to say the least.
WiFi is very good and fast.
There was no TV in the room we stayed.
The Hotel is located in a busy area and a bit away from the main attractions that can be easily reached by the reasonably placed taxis.
Booking.Com has a 9.3 rating with a 'Superb' tag which I feel is...

Read moreWe had an amazing stay at Horizon Boutique Hotel in Samarkand ! The room was super clean, spacious and kept warm, which was a blessing during the chilly nights. The bathroom was fantastic, well-heated with constant hot water—such a comfort ! The hotel is in a tranquil, quiet area, yet conveniently close to many fantastic restaurants and bakeries, making it easy to explore local flavors. It’s also just a 20-minute walk from Registan Square, which was perfect for sightseeing. Breakfast was great, with a lovely spread of eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, sausages, yogurt, bread, tea, and coffee—everything you need to start the day right. The owner and his staff were truly nice and helpful, and they spoke perfect English, which made communication a breeze. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the stay. We were so pleased with our time here that we decided to extend for another night. We highly recommend this place for anyone...
