I was very excited about staying in this hotel since it had so many good reviews. I made a mistake of not really reading the reviews though. I was only looking at the ratings. I also wasn’t paying an attention to people who wrote the reviews.

I checked in around 3pm. Usually the room is ready by then. The check in was smooth. The receptionist took us to our room and showed around. That was really nice. The room looked clean. I upgraded the room to family suite because I was very excited about this hotel. After receptionist left, I went to use the bathroom. As soon as I got into the bathroom someone just opened our door and got in. She was the room service lady. She didn’t even KNOCK the door and just came in like that? I guess previous people had some drinks from fridge so she was refilling those. She said sorry but I was SHOCK! Then few minutes later, this guy (I was told that he was handy man) just opened our door again. OMG. Are you serious? What if I was naked???? Both my mom and I were shocked but I didn’t want to ruin my vacation so I tried to ignore. I actually went outside checking the door to make sure it locks and it did. At night time, you can hear everything from outside. Next day, when we came back from the tour, the receptionists stopped us. She showed me the towel I used. I dye my hair every month and hair dye gets on towel but they completely come off when I wash them. I use same product every month so I know. I travel a lot and I had no problem with anyone telling me about the towels getting stained because they wash off completely. At that moment, I didn’t even notice they didn’t even try to wash it. I just assumed they did. The receptionist told me he needs to charge me for the towel which is around $6 something. I was like WHAT THE HECK! So I had couple more nights to stay and I can’t shower anymore then? I have to use towel to dry my hair you know? I actually used new towel again then wash with regular soap to show that this hair dye comes off. (Pictures attached)I told him about the incident day before and I was upset but I didn’t complain and now he’s telling me every time I use towel I have to pay $6 per towel? Towels shouldn’t cost that much in Vietnam anyways.

Anyways, he said he will checked the security camera about the door open incident. I guess he didn’t believe me? I said go ahead and gave him the timeframe. Then he talked to his manager and said he won’t charge me for towels. He sounded like he was giving me a favor for not charging me for towel.

Later on, I guess they felt sorry so they said they were giving me free foot massage. I didn’t want to take it but I couldn’t keep pushing back so I took. Next day, I showed up to the spa to make sure I have my reservation for free massage. The lady told me no. She said it’s not free and she didn’t hear anything. I believe it was like an hour before the reservation time they told me.

I told the receptionist that I won’t take the free massage. I know they are doing that to avoid bad reviews. I think people should have right to know the real reviews so I’m sharing this story.

After these bad incidents, I read more reviews about this hotel. I realized there were many 5 stars reviews with just this hotel review. That seemed very strange to me. I looked other hotels and many people write reviews usually more than one. It shows up both tripadvisor and google how many times you review. Then, I realized I didn’t really see many people during breakfast time. I traveled Thursday to Monday so weekend falls in my trip. The hotel management is not really doing great business here. The room service is terrible too. They filled up towels while I was gone and they were not even organized. Btw, This is more like 3 stars hotel not 4 stars. The breakfast is mainly same everyday and not good. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible. There is long stairs to entrance and stairs to breakfast area. There’s no elevators for these areas. I would highly recommend you to do more research on this hotel before...

I booked the hotel because I read good reviews on booking and agoda, but the reality was too bad compared to reality. When I arrived to check in, there was a sales person doing the check-in procedure, the sales person's attitude and smile were not up to standard and professional, and many times when I stayed, the sales person did not greet me when he saw me. I stayed for a long time, more than a week, but the hotel did not have any promotions (except for the 50% discount on laundry, but in reality, that price was high compared to laundry services outside the hotel). During my stay, the hotel only provided black coffee (no milk and no sugar), when I asked why they only provided black coffee (because normally other hotels would provide milk coffee for guests to drink easily), the hotel responded that due to a supply error, guests currently had to drink black coffee. It is the lack of professionalism in customer service, when the hotel has a problem with the supply, the hotel should know how to fix it instead of letting the guests drink black coffee for many days, when there is a problem, the hotel should fix it immediately and give the guests the best experience possible, but no, the hotel only explains that and does not make any changes.

The room was small and cramped. The hot and cold water system had to be switched on but there were no instructions for guests. During the first 2 days, I did not know how to use the hot water and had to shower in cold water and I was really unhappy.

The room cleaning was sketchy, the cleaning staff only spent 5 minutes cleaning the room, did not change the bed sheets and cleaned hastily. The windows were full of dust and stains. Many places in the room were not cleaned.

The swimming pool water was cold and there was no one to monitor the safety of the guests.

The breakfast was terrible, every day they ate the same dishes and there was no change, there were some breakfasts I did not eat and only drank coffee. The staff were not professional, they laughed a lot but their behavior lacked professionalism.

I expected more from the hotel because I saw that the hotel was well-reviewed, but in reality it was not and I want to give my sincere feedback to make the hotel better.

I think my experience at the hotel was not good because I expected more and more...

We stayed here for 4 nights in our recent trip to Da Nang. The hotel is conveniently located and its very convenient to move around from here to key attractions of the city and there are also many restaurants, cafes, minimarts and a shopping mall nearby (Vincom Plaza).

The hotel is nice and cosy, giving guests a homely feeling and staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived at 12.50pm and was served welcome drinks and crackers and they let us checked in early! (usually its 2pm)

Our room was on the 2nd floor and it was spacious, bright, clean and nice. Beds were comfortable and we rested very well throughout our stay here. The toilet was big too with a deep bathtub!

TV was smart TV with lots of local channels. Unfortunately, the channel list did not have overseas channels like CNN, CCTV, Phoneix or NHK, KBS etc or it would be perfect. Also good if they can provide a channel guide or guests will have to scroll one channel by one channel, which was time consuming.

Room service was well done, used items were replenished like toiletries and cleaned well. Credit must be given to the room service team.

The restaurant was located on the 11th floor (but life only stopped on the 10th floor and guests will need to walk up a flight of stairs). It was not big and the spread was not wide too but they have what most guests needed, like local and western food, bread, pastries, salad, fruits and beverages (with a live cooking station). The restaurant was full house between 6.45am-8.15am (it's opened at 6.30am) as most quests dined during this time before they start their day tours at 8.30am. But the foods were mostly nice and yummy. So do come by early or after 8.30am, it's possible you will need to wait for a table and you can choose to sit indoors or outside that offered a good bird eye's view on the surrounding area. Staff were polite and efficient in clearing used plates and utensils and replenishing of food was done promptly.

They also have a nice pool, self-service washing and vending machine.

We enjoyed our stay here and will surely stay here again when we...

Terrible Experience – Rude Staff and Zero Understanding of Hospitality I had a very disappointing experience at Hadana Boutique Hotel in Vietnam. I arrived around 5 AM with two friends after booking our stay through the MakeMyTrip app. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the hotel staff made us wait in the lobby for over an hour because one of my friends did not have his physical passport on him. His passport was temporarily held by a scooter rental company (Vexere), and we clearly explained the situation. We provided two physical passports, a digital copy of the third one, and the e-visa – yet the staff kept demanding a “physical e-visa,” which is ridiculous considering Vietnam only issues electronic visas. This clearly showed how clueless the reception staff were about their own country’s immigration policies. Even after all that delay and frustration, they finally let us check in – only to tell us that we must check out at 12 PM sharp, with no flexibility, despite them having wasted our early morning in their lobby. When I asked them to show where in their hotel policy it says digital IDs are not accepted, they couldn’t point to anything specific. Yet they kept insisting on a physical version. The staff were extremely rigid, unhelpful, and lacked basic customer service skills. For a place that calls itself a “boutique hotel,” this was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve had. Attaching photos of their unclear hotel policy notice and their front desk to show exactly what we had to deal with. Avoid this place if you value your time, comfort, and respectful service.
