I stayed here for over 30 days over a span of two months; I kept thinking I would leave but felt I needed to give them a chance because the hotel is 1) in a good location 2) rooms are acceptably nice for the price and 3) generally safe. However, I was annoyed at every turn I needed something, I felt the staff was completely helpless and dismissive. When I had friends come and visit and wanted a room, they were so slow in confirming a room. When I needed to rebook my room, I had to go through hurdles with them (my guess was that they felt I did not tip enough for length stay, but I absolutely always tip more than most people). The reception girls are arrogant and incompetent. I was very annoyed at them almost every time I needed help (e.g with laundry, with directions). The final straw was when I kept asking them to fix the wifi room and realized that they never bothered to call the repair service. Since I was on business, I had to leave because I could not work due to the completely non-functional wifi system. In addition to these problems, the breakfast was terrible, the same thing everyday and not much of it; the coffee was disgusting; after a few days, I started eating breakfast outside. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel because of incompetent staff. I am now at the Muong Thanh (which is a little more expensive, but everything is...
Read moreLet me start off by saying the staff is extremely nice. The woman working at the front desk and the housekeeper are absolutely lovely. The location is great. I got everything I requested for by talking to the front desk.
But I couldn’t wait to leave. It smelled extremely moldly in the room. The sheets weren’t even dry because of how humid it was. The AC would randomly turn off. I was eventually able to keep it on but I couldn’t turn if off again when it was too cold. Scuff marks all over the walls. The shower head kept falling because it was loose. The sheets made me itchy and I had to keep checking for bugs. The phone was unplugged and couldn’t connect to the plug. Tiny, old TVs. Spiderwebs everywhere.
Sometimes throughout the day, there would be loud banging noises. Sometimes I’d also smell cigarettes from other guests.
I didn’t bother to tell the front desk as I think they couldn’t have fixed anything. I think this is more indicative of need for a total overhaul than my own individual room. It was not...
Read moreOver the past few decades I have returned to CT many times to visit family. This hotel is smaller, but across the street from the largest super market in the city, adjacent to major streets and a short walk to the river. ||||The hotel is very quiet despite the convenient location. The staff at the desk are friendly and helpful; I had breakfast on the roof top one morning. It's a simple breakfast but decent. The view is very nice, with the river to the left, and the Khmer pagoda standing out on the right side. ||||I thought the room was tastefully decorated, and the size was perfect: not too big, not too small. There were no issues with the room or the hotel. I'd say it is a good addition to the city and a good alternative to the larger hotels....
