We are so happy that we stayed at Cat Tuong Hotel for our stay in Da Lat. This hotel is brand new, with few reviews, but don't be fooled - this is a great choice for anyone who wants to be a bit removed from the hustle and bustle and get a great night's rest. ||While this hotel doesn't sit in the Old Quarter or the French Quarter, those areas are close by for those who like to walk and discover, or a quick/cheap Grab ride away. We spent the first few nights walking down Yersin, the main street in that area to discover a bit of Da Lat. ||PRO TIP: Trip Advisor shows the correct (reliable address), but if you use the longer address from Booking.com or Hotels.com it might be more difficult to find. We used the Pa Pa restaurant across the street as a reference point for walking and Grab pickups. ||The neighborhood has great lighting and felt super safe, even walking through alleys and residential streets. ||Our room had a balcony with views of the city. Even with the door open, we hardly heard any street noise. The rooms were new and clean, and they include bathroom amenities like toothbrushes, cotton swabs, etc. The towels are super soft, and robes and indoor house shoes are provided. ||The beds are super firm (which we love). So if you're used to sleeping on a cloud, you may not find it comfortable.||Breakfast was included in our booking, and served up on the top floor/roof of the hotel. The staff just brings out food, no set menu or ordering. We enjoyed Pho, eggs and bao buns, and rice noodle wraps. The food was delicious each day. ||The hotel can easily arrange transfers to and from the airport, which can be cheaper than a Grab, depending on the...
Read moreVery clean room with a nice view from the panoramic windows and balcony. Great room on the top floor for dining. However the hospitality was lacking a fair bit. Reception staff on our 3 days was barely there and even if it was more busy on the phone and ignoring guests walking in or out. You can get breakfast of a simple menu but don’t expect to get what you ordered. 1st morning we ordered both Omelett and got fried eggs with a little sliced cucumber & tomato. 2nd day we skipped. 3rd day I ordered a egg/cheese sandwich as displayed on the menu. I got fried egg between 2 toast slices… 🤷♀️ no coffee offered at all. even though it advertises with a giant sign on the building “coffee & breakfast” nice room to just sleep in and quiet area with restaurants in walking distance. but the hotel lacks in the details. Elevator is making a large noise every time someone uses it which you can hear in the rooms. Housekeeping was spotless. Clean & fluffy towels. It has potential to be a really good hotel if they work on their service...
Read moreWe had an excellent time in Da lat and it is mostly due to this wonderful hotel and it's location. It is on a street with several restaurants (we enjoyed the fish place) and several coffee shops (we enjoyed Gach). It is just 15 minute walk to a great thai restaurant (The Thai) and that area is also very nice to walk around. You must try the street food right outside in the evenings. The lake is only a block away. The view is fantastic from the room. We enjoyed much of our time relaxing and reading on the balcony. But a Grab to the night market is less than 2 dollars if needed
The building is only 1 year old so everything is spotless. It has no bugs, no mold, no funny smells. It is just as pictured on the site.
The receptionist is kind and helpful with scooter rentals and transportation to and from the airport. The housekeeper is a delight.
We can't wait...
