Hillary Hanoi Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

Offers very basic package over all. Not a place that I would spend time other than shower and sleep.It’s 20-25min by taxi to old quarter/french quarter. So the location is ok’ish. Around there is not much, mostly residences small coffee shops and some bars, mini markets and pharmacy at least, but have to walk a few blocks around to find them. Positives about the room: bathroom and shower are good size and water has good pressure and temperature. Bed is good size and comfortable. The AC works well.Negatives about the room: didn’t like the included breakfast, the room wasn’t clean, dust all over the place and saw many small cockroaches everywhere. No view at all, one small window.One morning, we had turn on the do not disturb signal, but the cleaning ladies opened the door suddenly. Even if it was a mistake on room number, the usual procedure is to knock always before. It was 8am, so we woke up very suddenly and scared for a few seconds. The lady quickly apologised (didn’t sound sincere) but we were confused and definitely woke too quickly awake and not presentable. As she closed the door we noticed they were not discreet and were laughing and chatting in Vietnamese after the incident. Even after she closed the door we could hear them for a while, sounded like it was funny. not very professional way to deal with it. The swimming pool is at the top of the building but looks nothing like the photos online. The room looks slightly underwhelming than the photos promote, like they have been enhanced or photoshopped too much. Doesn’t really match in person. The front desk was nice and helpful, one of the only good general things. Another positive is they provide filtered water at the lobby to refill your bottle. Very happy with that, offers icy cold and hot. Not very common in Vietnam. I wish I had taken photos but forgot to do it while I stayed there. Hope the info was helpful, I will not be returning...

Плюсы. Бассейн небольшой на крыше, пользовались только мы в конце июня, было немного народа, места для 2-3 хватает. Номер дали улучшенный, довольно просторно для двоих, был и столик с креслами. В номере бесплатно вода в стеклянных бутылках. В фойе удобные кресла для ожидания и есть кулер с водой бесплатно для гостей, что очень приятно в жаркую погоду. Сотрудники помогали, подсказали где обменник валюты, как вызвать такси и доехать. На завтрак вкусный кофе, разнообразие сладкого - булочки и фрукты, а также вкусные жареные пирожки с картошкой и мясом. Рядом с отелем вкусный ресторан корейской кухни и рыбный (готовят из свежей рыбы из аквариумов), недалеко ехать до военного музея и этнографического. В номере полочек много, можно разложить вещи. Напор воды хороший. Кровать удобная.

Минусы. Круто что в номере были халаты, но они были С ДЫРКАМИ, как и полотенца!! Это неуважение к гостям в люксовом хилари отеле давать полотенца и халаты с дырками, поменяйте. Также на постельном белье и полотенцах были неотстиравшиеся пятна. 1 день в ванной был таракан и жук... Сантехника грязная, не протирают при уборке. Завтраки не стоит брать, если остаётесь дольше чем на 2 дня, одно и то же надоедает, лапша и рис сухие, соусы к ним только острые. Сделайте завтраки разнообразнее! Расположение неудобное, до маленького магазина идти минут 7. В районе делать нечего, только пару хороших ресторанов. До центра ехать минут 15, в том числе на экскурсии не забирают от этого отеля, это далеко и неудобно. В номере только 1 пакетик чая и 1 пакетик кофе (на двоих). Подушки довольно большие, поэтому неудоьно. Кондиционер над кроватью только 20 градусов, для меня прохладно, поменять сотрудник не смог (на след. день опять было 20). Душевая в ванной не закрыта, поэтому вода разливается по полу и стекает в слив, рядом с ванной нет крючка для полотенца, только возле двери. Второй раз в этом отеле я бы...

The rooms are big, but the beds are hard, pillows not comfortable, and staff running the low-level breakfast were not nice or friendly at all. Definitely not the luxury brand they're trying to be. Great views of the city from the rooftop. The pool isn't a real infinity pool, but they're trying. Had a room next to the elevator, and the noise from the elevator was a little too much while trying to sleep in a hard bed. The air conditioning didn't stay at the temperature I set it to, and I would awake in the middle of the night sweating and having to lower the temperature multiple...
