As we knew we would arrive at Hanoi at around 9 pm after more than 13 hour flight, we reserved something close to the airport and didn’t really expect anything. It took as around 10 minutes to walk to the hotel from airport but taxi would be there in a minute. ||When we arrived, we were greeted by a young boy that was one of two people that could kind of speak English. We paid 350K Vietnamese dongs for one night for two people. The room was clean and had everything we could possibly forget at home - towels, toothbrush, toothpaste and soap. Air conditioning, TV and fan were also there. The bed was big enought but the mattress was super hard so if you have a back problems, definitely not for you. ||The staff was nice and cooked us dinner in the “restaurant” part of the hotel, food was very cheap (one meal for around 50K Vietnamese dongs). Also we got a couple of glasses of water for free when we arrived. ||They didn’t really care about the time of check out and even had a taxi driver ready for anyone who would need a ride in the lobby. The taxi driver was accompanied by other Vietnamese men and I would say that the way the looked at us every time was rather...
Read moreGot off to a bumpy start due to booking issues.* Owner rectified it after a small payment and a 30 min argument. The rooms we ended up with were large comfortable with much needed working AC. Food served on site 24 hours apparently. We ate there a few times and food is fine. *The owner has the property next door but doesn't make it clear that you could be in a separate building to your kids. In the end we paid the extra he wanted for us to be on same floor and the same hotel at least as our 14 year old. No lift to the 5 floors of this property. Rooms at the front are smoking rooms ones at the back no smoking. It's hard work to get a taxi to the hotel from the airport as the fare isn't enough and they refuse you. Same getting back to hotel at times. Driver wanted 80k instead of the 40k this however is not the hotel's fault. There's really nothing in the area not even ATM so expect to eat and drink in the hotel for your duration. Luckily they accept card payment. Only 5 mins from airport by car or a not very pleasant 20/30 min walk. The owner was kind and courteous for our stay. Significant language barrier when other...
Read moreAVOID IT AT ALL COST. We have book this hotel 3 months before to come. Unfortunatly when we arrived 7.00pm on the D -day, our rooms were already booked.... without previous notice from this owner or the app.... weird ! First he wanted to show us rooms which are not in his hotel, as we refused to follow him he admitted the rooms were overbooked. So we have to see others rooms....with a little discount. ||Romms offer are humid, dirty and not prepared to welcome family with kids.||We refused this alternative, and the guy asked us to cancel our reservation and to find a new one.... He insisted many times to cancel our reservation... and did not try to help us. We left the place are people get nervous on us and found another hotel elsewhere.||Conclusion: there is a mafia deal in this area, 1 good hotel with 5 to 6 rooms," first come, first served" others go to dirty hotels for cheaper price, and cancel their booking, thus nobody knows except if you do...
