Newer hotel property situated on the main road which crosses the Tay Ho Lake, opposite the Pan Pacific hotel.
The Lake view room we booked had very nice views from the floor-to-ceiling windows spread across 2 sides of the room.
Room and washroom were clean, staff is friendly and helpful. No hidden charges or problems with billing.
Mattresses are on harder side, but worked for us since we prefer bed on firmer side.
Note on Washroom: Quite oddly, the Washroom door has a see through window, about 8" wide (see photo). Additionally, Shower cubicle does not have any shelf for Soap & Shampoo, so have to keep bottles on floor.
This road is busy, so location will be unsuitable for those looking for a quite stay; it leads to the National Assembly and has a high volume of government VIP convoys with sirens. Also, Hanoi traffic generally starts up early before 06:00 am. Additionally, some broadcast loudspeaker goes on adjacent to hotel, early in morning.
Breakfast needs serious improvement, to the point that we had to skip our free breakfast for remaining days, after the first attempt. The spread was inadequate, and completely tasteless. Even breakfast cereal lacked variety. There is no Vietnamese or Cappuccino coffee; just black...
Read moreI stayed five nights at this hotel for my business trip, and I was not satisfied with the room. First, the air conditioner was inadequate; it was very hot in the room. Additionally, the bed cushion was too hard, which made my back hurt after each night. The reception area was also poorly managed; I did not think it was a proper lobby because the reception desk was so messy.
The price was very expensive, and for that amount, I could find a better hotel in a more convenient location for traveling in the ancient area. The breakfast served every day was not fresh; it felt like the same dishes were repeated. Furthermore, when they gave me the key, they did not mention the condition that if I lost it, I would have to pay an additional amount. They asked me to pay 200,000 VND for a lost key, which was...
Read moreOur guest stayed at this hotel. Although the service is good, rooms at lower floors got direct noise from the street so my guest could not sleep. The hotel really has to install sound proof windows to prevent noise entering into guest rooms. Later, he asked the hotel to change the room for the noise, then he was moved to higher floor (I think it was 16F). Although there was less noise, now the bed was rock-hard, and he got a back issue after spending a few nights (lower floors have softer mattresses). In short, you will have your pain and issues regardless of the floor you would be staying. Unless the proper sound-proof windows are installed, and all rock-hard mattresses are replaced with soft ones, we can't recommend people to stay...
