KFC — Restaurant in Hà Nội

This KFC branch was overall just barely passable. The parking situation is fairly standard for a fast food spot, with a small underground area beneath the restaurant. While the guard didn’t seem very attentive when I arrived, he did at least help guide me safely out with my scooter.

Inside, the self-order machines are placed right next to the main counter, likely due to the limited space on the first floor. However, this setup also means that the staff don’t really come out to assist customers directly. In my experience, and from observing others (both locals and foreigners), the staff simply called out instructions from behind the counter rather than offering hands-on support.

The sauce station was functional, which is a plus, but the staff seemed a bit unmotivated. Several tables still had leftover food and dishes when I arrived, and even after I received and began eating my meal, those tables remained uncleaned. It wasn’t until a new staff member, seemingly just starting her shift, came on that anyone began cleaning up. It gave the impression that the more tedious tasks were being left to the newcomers, which raises some concerns about cleanliness, especially if this is a common pattern and not just an off moment during a slow hour.

As for the food, it met basic fast-food expectations, neither particularly good nor bad. That sentiment also sums up the staff's demeanor: not outright rude, but lacking energy...

I am placing this bad review because of the hygiene of the place. The ladies working inside where quite polite and served us even near closing time but they did not meet the standards of the chain. This KFC is great! The chicken and fries are very well cooked and beautiful view of the street from the second floor. Very clean and the team members are so helpful and friendly :) If you want to try kfc in Hanoi… this is the pace.
