A hidden gem in Tay Ho with exceptional service and stunning West Lake views. I spent my last night in Hanoi here, and it turned out to be the most peaceful sleep of my entire stay.

The outstanding staff at Moonlight Tay Ho truly define what exceptional hospitality means. Alice and Liam are absolute gems who go far beyond typical hotel service. I was impressed by their fluent communication which made everything seamless.

Alice was incredibly thoughtful - when I needed to wait for my flight, she offered a room to rest in. She also helped arrange reliable taxi services through her personal app, showing the kind of personalized care you rarely find. Liam demonstrated remarkable dedication by offering to walk with me to my previous hotel (an 8-minute walk) to help collect my luggage when Grab drivers wouldn't accept the short distance. These personal touches made my stay truly memorable.

The room, though on the pricier side at 1.5M VND, is worth every dong. The westward-facing views of West Lake are breathtaking, especially during sunset. The location proved perfect for my needs - peaceful enough for the best sleep I had in Hanoi (ideal for light sleepers), yet just a short scooter ride from the Old Quarter's energy.

If you value personalized service and attention to detail, combined with beautiful views and tranquility, Moonlight Tay Ho is an excellent choice. The staff's dedication to guest comfort and satisfaction made my final night in Hanoi...

We stayed at Moonlight Tay Ho initially for two nights but kept extending our stay as we loved it so much! We want to shout out our gratitude to ALICE on reception. She went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and was there for us for anything we ever needed either in person or on WhatsApp. She is outstanding at her job and always with a lovely smile.

It is such an amazing place to stay in Hanoi. The rooms are perfect (clean, air con, fridge, smart TV, washing machine, soaps etc.) If we could, we would genuinely live there for a month+. For us the most amazing aspect was how QUIET the rooms are. It was bliss.

The location was perfect for us because we love to walk and the lake is on the doorstep and it was a calm walk into the city centre.

Alert scam!!

Some rooms are great with nice views. Others are really bad, like the studios and one bedroom apartments. Windows with a view on a wall bad. Perfect for claustrophobia. You don’t know which one you’ll get when you book online! I booked a room with windows and a view online but arrived and well the room had no windows with a view.. scam. They basically lure you in. After pointing it out to the manager, they told me they will change the pictures of the room on booking.com which they did not. I also realized they have been doing this scam long enough since it happened to other people. I hadn’t seen the other reviews before booking unfortunately.
