Disappointing Experience — Had to Cancel Upon Arrival I booked this property through Agoda for a few nights at the beginning of October. I arrived around 9PM and was greeted by a man who appeared to have no connection to the property. He told me to wait an hour for the owner to arrive — but I had to wait outside, in light rain, with no shelter or nearby cafés. The area felt isolated, and there was no guarantee the owner would return on time. After waiting and assessing the situation, I had no choice but to cancel the booking. It took me another 30 minutes of stressful communication with Agoda to prove that the cancellation wasn’t my fault. I then had to scramble to find a new place within my budget — not easy on a busy Friday night. The location is also inconvenient: about 150 meters from the main road, and taxis can’t reach it directly — they have to detour 5–6 minutes around. Read moreIt’s cheap and OK for a night or two. Towels were clean. Owners can speak English and are helpful and polite. It is unfortunately rare in Hanoi. The place needs urgent deep cleaning. Especially the bathrooms. Your bathroom is outside of your room so it’s not very convenient. I believe that they have 2 buildings and the one we had was quiet but on a narrow road which isn’t the best. The whole area made us feel depressed, honestly. We’ve had the misfortune to have nasty neighbors upstairs. We heard everything because of the quality of the building. Real apes. Unable to behave like human beings.
