I couldn't praise this homestay highly enough - Ms Tri and her family (husband, little daughter, and mother) are the kindest, friendliest, most accommodating people I have ever encountered. I stayed for two weeks and was immediately welcomed into their little family and felt right at home. Seeing their warm, smiling faces everyday was the highlight of my trip! In addition to calling cabs when I needed them and setting up airport transportation, they provided me with excellent recommendations around town (including a great tailor), offered free bikes, and had a breakfast menu every morning - does it get any better than that? ||||They are perfectly located right between the beaches and Old Town, about a 10-15 minute bike ride to either. Tons of street food and great restaurants right outside their door. As I was also working from my laptop several days a week, I was very happy to find an amazing cafe (Dingo Deli) that was only a 2 minute walk away - but their rooms are clean, beautiful, have great views, air conditioning, most importantly GREAT wifi and include a desk if you'd prefer to work from there. The best day was when Tri and her family cooked dinner for all of the homestay guests (Tri's mother spent all day cooking the chicken rice) - such a fun and memorable evening! ||||I nearly cried when I got in the taxi to leave - I will miss this sweet family so much and can't wait to come visit them again. I truly don't think you'll find a better homestay in Hoi An -...
Read moresince EVERYBODY seemed so far enthusiastic about that place, one have to be the first, making some critics !||So far people mentioned how friendly the host are.||I only can confirm that about The wife, Ms.Tri.||The husband, sorry, definately IS NOT!!||But let's start with the location.||A bit far from center town.||Sure you can ride some bike to get there.||But watch for the KILLING TRAFFIC on that road...||Concerning the rooms.||There are only 3 of them.||2 upstairs, and one downstairs.||DO NOT go for the one downstairs.||You get the family, specially kids entertainment until late, and quite early to wake you up !||In the bathroom, the moisture has shown dangerous bacteries on the wall...||Upstairs everything is fine.||Unfortunately the neighbour is just constructing, wall to wall in the moment !||And here comes the most important !||Only to recommend once you booked in advance !!! ||(which is always more expensive than the real price level in the area)||I arrived spontaniously.||In 3 days, had to moove twice, in different rooms, to finally get kicked out on the 4th day, without informing me before !!! Because bookings ...||One may expect to get informed, the day before about it !!||I needed to run after a new place, under heavy rain, because completely surprised when they told me at 12 pm...||I finally found a very similar place close, for even cheaper...||I can understand that bookings have priority, but IMPERATIVELY you HAVE to inform your costumers about...
Read moreGood and clean rooms, except the mold mildew in the bathroom, location is outside of town and the street dangerous. construction of building not allowing us to sleep, bad vibes from family fighting loud and late at night, drunk relatives and child being beaten and forced to pray in the corner for hours and crying... Again losing sleep because of her crying , daughter getting beating and abused by the family, husband definitely rude , motorbike faulty with technical problems (we got stuck miles away) drunk husband burning incents to the point of us not being able breathe and getting headaches. We also caught the rude husband and friends peeing against our motorbike at night.||When raising these issues as a concern, we were insulted because my wife is older than me and apparently in Vietnam that is unacceptable?!||||Very unprofessional, should be reported to the police for child abuse and definitely tasteless about attacking us for my older wife.||Do not rent a motorbike and definitely find a different place if you can. You are supporting child beaters and abuse if...
