A Magical 6-Night Stay at the Grand Sunrise Palace – Truly Exceptional!

Our 6-night stay at the Grand Sunrise Palace was, without question, the highlight of our trip to Vietnam. This stunning boutique hotel offers the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived until our reluctant departure, every detail was handled with care and excellence.

Airport Transfer: Seamless and stress-free! The hotel arranged a private transfer with a friendly driver who greeted us at Da Nang Airport. The drive to the hotel took around 45 minutes and was smooth and comfortable—just what we needed after a long flight.

Arrival Experience: We arrived around 10 PM and were warmly welcomed by the wonderful Lilly, who had everything perfectly prepared. Check-in was effortless, quick, and genuinely welcoming—a fantastic first impression that set the tone for our entire stay.

The Room: We stayed in a Premier King Room on the 6th floor with a private balcony. It was beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and incredibly comfortable. The luxurious touches made it feel like a five-star retreat. (Check out our photos—you’ll see what we mean!)

Breakfast: A real highlight! The breakfast buffet was expansive, offering a huge variety of hot and cold options. Many items were freshly prepared at live cooking stations. There was something delicious for every taste—an ideal way to start each day.

Location: We chose this hotel for its prime location—convenient to both the beach and Hoi An Old Town. Walking to the Old Town took about 45 minutes, but we often used Grab, which only took 5 minutes and cost just 32,000 VND—an absolute bargain.

Beach Access: An Bang Beach is an easy 40-minute cycle away (bikes are complimentary), or just 10 minutes by scooter. A perfect way to spend a relaxing day soaking in the sun.

Spa Experience: The complimentary 30-minute foot massage was heavenly—pure bliss! Huge thanks to Tina, Cam, and Stella for their skillful hands and warm energy. They even included shoulders, which was a lovely surprise. I left feeling refreshed and totally relaxed.

Scooter Rental: The hotel quickly arranged a scooter for us—just a 15-minute wait and we were off exploring! Excellent value for money. We visited Lady Buddha, Monkey Mountain, Dragon Bridge, My Son Sanctuary, and more.

A Team That Truly Shines: A heartfelt THANK YOU to Lilly for going above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Your professionalism and kindness were second to none. Huge thanks also to Jessie, Kathy, Tina, Cam, Stella, and every single staff member whose name we sadly didn’t catch—your warmth and smiles made every day brighter.

Final Thoughts: This was, without a doubt, our favourite hotel in Vietnam. The combination of luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and genuine hospitality made it truly special. We can’t...

Supposedly 5 stars but the experience felt 3 stars. Quite a tacky hotel and the other reviews about this place are quite interesting, and it makes me think if they enjoy the tackyness of this hotel.

Very nice reception and guest services staff who were helpful with what we needed. However, they wouldn't stop bothering us with endless "deals" and offers on events, food or activities in the hotel, constantly trying to upsell us. Whether they're coming up to your table at breakfast, or handing you about 20 leaflets when you check in, or every wall has some kind of promotional offer on it like you're in some budget hotel. It was really off-putting. It's usually better to let the guests be aware about the services at the beginning of their stay but not absolutely force it in their faces for the entire stay. It just made me not want to use any of their services except for the complementary foot massage.

We had the signature room which was good enough. The circular bed was quite unnecessary and impractical, it was also a bit uncomfortable but the pillows and sheets were nice. The shape of the room not the best and there wasn't too much space for things. The sink area had hardly any room to put our toiletries and there wasn't much space for our suitcases. Also, you could hear almost everything from the next rooms - very thin walls.

The spa was huge and nice. But once again they tried to upsell us when we called and then again when we arrived for our treatment. It was nice to experience a steam room and sauna as none of our previous hotels had them. The massage we got was done by two lovely ladies who were very good.

The breakfast was a fairly wide spread but there wasn't much options for fruit, it was mainly watermelon and dragon fruit. The egg station was good and so was the bakery selection.

We only had time to try the upstairs pool but the downstairs pool looked quite unkept. The upstairs pool, there was no one there to welcome us or offer us towels when we arrived. All the loungers were soaked. When I went to grab a drink from their fridge, the person working there who was busy having dinner with his colleagues came up to me in a panic, also quite rudely and told me I have to pay even though there was nothing to suggest I had to pay. It was at that moment it was confirmed to me that this is no true 5 star hotel.

I wouldn't stay here again frankly. I chose this over the Little Oasis hotel but I'm now left wondering if that would've been better. They asked for a 5 star review when we left but I don't feel inclined to...
